121. Re: FLAC!
WAV from mp3. Huge difference in sound quality. With WAV you lose none of the sound quality of the original. Well WAV is the standard CD format. I detest mp3. Only lossless such as FLAC and some others will cut it for me. Absolutely despise mp3. Would rather hear quality sound rather than free up space. And yes Media Monkey will let you burn any format to CD and play on any CD player. Its a great

122. Re: FLAC!
Download Media Monkey. Best player ever. Easy interface as well. Easily will play FLAC and also allow you to burn FLAC files to a CD that can be played on any player without having to convert. Best of all its free. Plays almost every format you can think of.

No kidding. Gone are the days of bringing home an album or CD or tape and actually sitting or laying down and listening to it from beginning to end and soaking it all in. For all the advances that have been made, the simple enjoyment of music has been lost.

No kidding. It's just ridiculous already. A circus. Much to the delight of his father, sad to say.

Ridiculous how the media has just latched onto this and has not relented with its ridiculous angles and topics about Jackson. The media is so warped. No coverage at all about the US launching an assault on Afghanistan. Not even a mention. Hmmmm ? Coincidence or deterrent ?

In light of all this Jackson stuff. Couldnt help but think when Jackson died how i will feel when our boys are gone. I know I am not the only one who had that thought. Wasnt even a big fan of Jackson but I really did feel sad. I dont want the day(s) to come but inevitably they will. The day(s) Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ron, and Bill pass. Hope they get the recognition they deserve when that actually

I remember getting the latest Walkman in 1988. Was not that much bigger than the cassette itself. Thought it was the coolest thing. Had to actually put in some work at home and actually make my own compilations from CD or vinyl or tape to tape. God forbid these kids actually have to have some patience and actually listen to the music they are putting on their ipods before they even put in on. Tho

Princeton Reverb reissue is a gem. Just got one. All u will ever need regardless if u play at home, record, or perform at clubs (can always mic it for bigger venues). 15 watts is plenty with a tube amp. This amp has reverb and trem. And also is perfect amp for getting the most out of any pedal. Love this amp. Have been through Marshalls, Various Fenders, Crates, etc. This amp is the absolute bes

78-83. Discovered Stones at 6 yrs old when SG came out and instantly fell in love with the music, the image, everything. Fond memories remembering when ER came out and TY after that and SL. Waiting to catch ER on the radio so I could press record button on my portable tape recorder as I held it up next to the radio. Great stuff. Loved it. Of course explored the back catalog later but 78-83 was w

Yes. Heard that before too. What kinda baffles me here is how someone considers Crowley a "nutball". Such intolerance. Eccentric yes. But live and let live is what I always say. Listened to Crowes new song again. Great stuff. Great guitar and overall good vibe.

Some of you here make it seem like the Stones invented blues, rock and roll, performing on-stage in everyday clothes, the lead singer dancing around on stage, gritty guitars, etc. Yes the Stones were great and will always be my favs for their stuff from 62-83 but gimme a break. Every group rips off from everywhere and everyone. Otherwise there would be no bands at all. Gotta have inluences and g

Why in the world would this draw any Stones comparisons ? Cuz of Miss You or ER ?? Gimme a break. Crowes have always had their own identity. No Stones rip off here. Totally original. Crowes beat the shit outta the Stones as far as original music. Love the Stones but they have not made a decent album since UC. Lost their passion. Crowes continue to release fresh original music. Too bad m

Very well said. and I think it is safe to say that there wont be any Wacko Jacko songs on a subsequent tour by our boys. Just a whole diff musical world that guy was involved in. Stones prob rolling their collective eyes at all the publicity this death is receiving. Thats if they even give a shit.

Guess so. Besides, Freddie was the first choice for that song anyway. Mick was second choice. Bet he really loved that.

Why the hell does the "Stones camp" have to say anything ?? So Mick did a song with Jacko. So what ? Big deal. Stones arent obligated to say or do anything.

QuoteStonesFanatic I had always known there were two versions but I recently got Metamorphosis on CD and the track for Memo From Turner has two versions of it in one track...the first is a heavier, psychedelic version, and the second is a slow sleazy-groove (which is my favorite). The second one has a groove similar to the well-known one on the Singles Collection, but is completely different oth

Listening to Kiss "Dynasty" right now and 2000 Man is the best Stones cover I have ever heard. Im sure this topic has been "covered" before but just wanted to give some of MO. Kiss was a campy crap band (and i loved them as a kid just the same) but that cover still rocks. Dynasty isnt too bad either. Kiss tried to cash in on the disco crap with Dynasty. Think it was cool thoug

This dude's childhood was taken away from him because of his selfish ass father. Jacko wanted to be a child for the rest of his life. Something he was never able to do when he actually WAS a child. Yes he was a freak. A pedophile ?? maybe. But regardless he was one of the greatest entertainers that has ever existed on this planet. He was a legend. Didnt much care for his music even when I

Black Crowes not overrated. Saw them for the 7th time last November in Austin TX. Bad PA system but great show. Crowes by far have always taken more from Faces anyway. Then the Stones. and then the Dead. And then Pink Floyd and then Dylan and then Terry Reid. You get my point The Crowes musical influences are so diverse and beyond comprehension it is ridiculous. Not over rated. They never s

Had the 1981 tour magazine when i was 10 years old. I remember my mom buying it for me at the supermarket. Later I cut it all up and made a collage of all the pictures for some school presentation (yes, my topic was the Stones). Kids didnt know who or what the hell i was talking about but the teacher sure did. Anyway i regret destroying that mag now. Would just like to know if anyone has that off

When i heard about this idea long while back i thought it was lame. Satch is a solo guy who does not pull the band thing off well at all. Looks very uncomfortable and forced. Typical Hagar crap. Heard about the idea and then heard the band. If u like this type of thing then cool but just not my cup of tea. Very phony. And Chad cmon Chad. Frusciante (one of the greatest musicians/songwriters/ar
