Sounds improvements are GREAT. Would only like recording month/year next to song titles in artwork, it minor. Definitive version so far.

Bowie’s on all the choruses. He’s “under” Woodie’s vocals but you can hear Bowie. Mainly at the end of lines/words.like at the very end of the line at :29 seconds - that’s bowie sounding like a whining cat! I think he’s on all of the “I know, it’s only rock n roll” lines in the first chorus. Seems to echo or lag a tad on the right side. If that makes sense. He gets a bit clearer at the end, es

QuoteMathijs I understand the source of this release is in mp3 format and was quite compressed to begin with. The bootlegger added more mastering to it... It makes dating the tracks not easier. Curtis Meets Smokey is supposedly from 1969, but it does sound much more like Undercover session to me. Guitar is in Wood's soul style, bass sounds like it is Jim Barber or something. But the piano

Quotedcba Quotebarbabang Everytime I Break Her Heart sound very much like an Undercover session outtake to me. Why would Mick want to redo "Far Away Eyes" 5 years later? But ETIBHH does sound like "In Your Hand" (same heavy flanger effect) hence your suggestion it's from 82. Nico has it in 1977 as early Far Away Eyes. But sonically it sounds 82.

Quotegotdablouse @monkberry00 - that Don Was stolen tape business rings a bell but can't find anything here, can you refresh our memory ? People who know their boots/outtakes would know he’s referring to the Voodoo Stew/Brew/Residue sets that came out ages ago. Sorry for my errors. First impressions a late at night. I know Karnbach has Curtis and Smokey listed. That recording doe

QuoteJordyLicks96 Quotegotdablouse "Every Time I Break Her Heart (Undercover Sessions 1982)" That's incorrect as the song is a "Faraway Eyes" prototype ! That's exactly what I thought but doesn't the production and keyboard sound very similar to Keep It Cool from '82? I totally agree there's a Far Away Eyes prototype in here but at the same time i

Overall, to my ears this sounds like it was mostly leaked from the Jagger camp/vault. "Scarlet" without the overdubs is one indication. Otherwise you have a few things that sound like they were considered for the deluxe/expanded versions but not used - especially "Tell Her How It Is," obviously. Modern vocal made to sound old over a 'Trident Outtake' track. "

Quotemike567 could this version of Fiji Jim have overdubs from 1993 (just like So Young)? The piano makes me wonder if this is chuck playing there I think a several of these are songs that may have been spruced up for potential deluxe/expanded reissues and were ultimately rejected.

Quotegustavobala "don´t to lie to me" rolling stones recorded in 1964 and live in 1972 STP tour but this version are from 1990´s, i can´t heard keith guitar´s again, e think mick´s solo works, maybe 'wandering spirit' 1993 That Jagger vocal is straight out of the late 70s. Listen to how he sings the word 'baby.'The entire vocal has that slight slur like eve

Quotetioms Are you agreed to post the address where we can buy this CD? Or should you be able to buy a (lot) of cd's who is willing to pay for a silver? His referral link is not working correctly. I’ll try to fix this.

No, just saw that people were posting their emails when no one asked or mentioned anything was to be shared. I got this link from a dealer who is selling the silver CD copies from Japan.

This would be 1970, I believe that's the last year ABKCO has rights to recordings. Maybe they shot their shot already with the Sticky Fingers tracks they owned, or did all the copyrights when that was put together. That could be the end of ABKCO dumps.

QuoteKevinM QuoteTravelinMan Yeah, I pointed this out. “First Thing” is Winter. ... Where/how did you confirm this? Thanks. The tape box above confirms it. Though, really, what the title is referring to is that it was the first song they worked on for the session - the two Micks, before/without Keith present at the sessions. Thus the title “First thing sans Keith” and Winter written

QuoteElmo Lewis QuoteNilsHolgersson When you look at the bootleg series Bob Dylan's team put out for his albums like More Blood, More Tracks and Trouble No More, these Stones "super deluxe" releases are really short and sad in comparison. You don't get a lot of takes or unreleased demo songs yes, some early versions of "Tops" or WOAF would have been nice. I'

I agree that some of these newly released early versions and outtakes have a much more Exile feel (Hide Your Love sounds like a direct Exile outtake actually). As Mick has stated, they were looking for a new and varied sound. It’s my belief that they went out of their way to make this material sound less-Exile. I think that idea is also reinforced by the rejected Glyn Johns mixes.

Does anyone have a physical release with liner notes? I heard a snippet of the alternate Heartbreaker years ago from a high level collector. He had attributed it to the Jan/Feb Village Recorders session in L.A. Any indication of this in the reissue credits?

Been listening to this album nonstop since Saturday. Learned that Maria McKee’s half-brother was Bryan MacLean - songwriter and member of Love- who co-wrote Don’t Toss Us Away with her from the same album.
