Gee, you must have really sweat over making that list Chuck. Miss You, Brown Sugar JJF, Tumblin Dice, Only Rock n Roll. Must have taken months to dig out those forgotten nuggets. Forum: Tell Me
Each night this week on "All Things Considered" one of the Stones is going to talk about one song. Last night Keith talked about using the cassette machine and Charlie's drun kit on street fighting man Forum: Tell Me
UW why not wait and see how next year goes? Maybe the shows will rock and maybe they go into the studio in Jan/Feb and lay down one more jewel. Then club tour next summer/fall. Forum: Tell Me
Love playing it on wax--"doesnt anybody stay in one place anymore?"
Another solid oldie from that era is three dog night--Shambala.
Burn some brown weed, drink some ripple. Forum: Tell Me
The November shows go well. They go into studio "warmed up" in January/February, release album of new material in May/June and do Summer/Fall tour. Forum: Tell Me
Speaking of Let it Bleed and Brian, I read one time that when the call came in to the studio that Brian had died, Mick said "it goes on," and went in and did the classic vocal take on let it bleed. True? Forum: Tell Me
The Beatles are the F-ing Carpenters compared to the Stones. Go listen to Midnight Rambler Twinkie John. What song of yours did that copy??? Forum: Tell Me
Was at a Chris Botti concert in Seattle and he brought her out for about 6 songs. She was great. Like a jackass I was yelling for Gimme Shelter from second row. Forum: Tell Me
Reasons Stones are better:
1) Better on their instruments (by 100 miles)
2) Better Live (by 1000 miles)
3) Better looking and cooler women (and don't get p&*%$ssy whipped hello linda and yoko)
4.) Their music is sexy--anyone ever put on a Beatles record to boff? Forum: Tell Me
If it does not happen Keith is the one who blew it with the cheap shots in "Life." He could have made the same points a lot more gracefully. If Mick does not need the money, most anyone in his position would tell Keith to stuff it. Forum: Tell Me
In a Casino near Seattle. He was in fine voice and played piano real well. A nice mix of hits and non (you win again was a highlight). Nice backup band. Would go again but brothers the age of the crowd (oxygen, scooters, canes) would give pause to the most battle hardened stones fan. We ain't getting any younger. Forum: Tell Me
