QuoteStonesFanatic Quotetomcat2006 Not Woody's fault at all. They'd run out of ideas around the time he joined and at least he has kept the band together as a going concern when it could all have ended in tears decades ago. But would it have been better for their legacy had IORR been their last album?[/quote} oh my god, he is not even joking....i try to stay polite but this is real

Mick taylor is great, but they could have had any good solo guitar player in those years, and it would have been the same sort of thing, like wayne perkings solo on hand of fate, they could have done for example the same thing with guys like jeff beck, clapton etc on songs like sway and winter etc Mick taylor was just one of those good solo players no more and no less. With Ronnie the Stones choo

QuoteRingo Knebworth 76 has a big, big treasure (and I seem to be the only one who "knows" this!) - the Hand of Fate version. It's magic. And If you can't rock me - Get Off of my cloud is also good there. That Knebworth version of lets spent the night is really charming, i know its crazy but i like that version.

LOL wauw, nice bridges people, And what is the best bridge in a stones song of all times? I think the one in monkey man.

The Stones always put great bridges in their songs, what is your favorite, or wich ones are a bit forgotten, At the moment I love the bridge (and it also comes at the end) of saint of me. I dont like the song so much, but that bridge...And what about the one in cant be seen, set us up so they can shoot us down..almost better than the song itself, so more examples?

Thats what I like about the stones theyre all cool in their own way, including Stu in his own way he is also very cool! and he was always around, a real stone! (and the first one) I also like those storys about the Stones, with all those guys like Spanish Tony, Robert Fraser etc, and ofcourse Gram parsons. I think their coolest picture is from 76 with billy preston, all very dressed up, with Bill

I am really into steel wheels at the moment, and I really like the album. Its another example of an stones album that grew on me. From the nice dirty sounding guitars on sad sad sad, to slippin away. And what a super song is almost hear you sigh. Jagger is on top of his game. Anymore Steel wheels lovers here?

And Jagger on bass quite a lot, like on dangerous beauty. Its nice to see that dvd that came with it again, you can see they recorded it in a small room, very pure and together. I also really like charlie on abb, a nice rough pure sound. They didnt need Rick Rubin to tell them they should do it that way. (although I would love it if he should produce the next album)
