I think it might be Ronnie actually. It should be the opening riff one more time, but Ronnie goes on with the song. Mick comes in at the right time, but somehow then Keith gets annoyed. Anyway, weird mess. Keith looks like such an angry old grandpa

Just got home and I will definitely never ever attend a gig in Zeltweg again. From ankle-deep mud, not enough toilets, no possibility to pay with credit card to enormous waiting times coming to the gig and leaving (I waited for 2h in the car as nothing was moving on that rotten field) - just all really @#$%& up. Had GA tickets, went outside again and got a pair of seated tickets for 50€ instead o

Quotesilkcut1978_ QuoteKoschi but to say something positive: i live about 1 h from Spielberg and we have beautiful sunshine now I'll be coming from Carinthia (2 hours away) and we're having heavy rain since yesterday's evening. The weather forecast is extremly bad - 8 to 15° only and a high probability for rain. I still don't have tickets and I'm curious if I'

Btw, I have one extra ticket - a simple standing, GA. Does anyone need it?

It's of course possible they sold less. These days almost everyone goes with the insurance package for a few euros where you can return the ticket again up to 1 week before the show if you want. In any case, I'll be happy if it's less people and if they open up the FOS areas for standing tickets behind

Quotelatvianinexile Quotebernard90mike I already was at the concert location along with some other fans. The area looks surprisingly small from outside, hard to believe there will be some 100.000 people tomorrow. It has kind of an intimate feeling which is very fine although it sounds a bit weird talking of such a big event. The whole area is very small, so I recommend to use public transpo

Quotebv Well if tickets are not sold out why are all the transportation options sold out? Do they expect everyone driving in with a car? As far as I understand, there is no way to get from Graz - the 2nd largest city in Austria - in & out of the venue, without having a car... Trains from Graz to Judenburg or Knittelfeld leave every 30 minutes or so. The special transportation is in addition

QuoteDandelionPowderman I don't know anything about this, but could it be that Mick just put out these tracks just for fun – since he had the time and Ronnie had been ill etc? The tracks have no hooks, no memorable choruses. They're not typical singles, merely grooves with a message. I think Mick just wanted to get out something the old school way just for fun, or he wanted to say so

Well if it had been really successful, Keith's position would have come under additional pressure. He might have to accept some of these kind of songs would end up on the final track list (even if he might not even play on it). Now that they bombed and most people consider them a mediocre effort at best, chances are higher for Keith's opinion to be heard...

QuoteSwayed1967 David Bowie said to Rolling Stone Magazine in 1983 : "Mick really wanted to do something different a few years ago. I remember him crying. 'Am I gonna be saddled with the Rolling Stones for the rest of my life?' But I don't know what he'll ever do now. You've got to make a move. If you miss your chance, then you settle for what you've got."

Quotemaumau well Lorenz, maybe you are right about some people here, as it happens to people that getting older they stick to the "same old"music they fell in love in their youth. but you're not right in the equation: you like or consider these songs ergo that means you are detached from today's music, you dont know how much good stuff is around.. etcetera etcetera I do lis

Quotegeorgelicks I can tell from my source that both songs were from the Stones' sessions for the new album, both Ronnie and Charlie are on it but Keith refused to play, just like he did not play on Saint Of Me. Both songs were re-worked as Mick Jagger solo songs, Universal wanted something out to test the market and keep the hype about the new album and Mick was happy to put something ou

And btw, someone here said these songs could've been from the "experimental" choices for the upcoming Stones album. There is nothing experimental about this, it's as generic as possible.

So on the one side, I'm happy someone in the Stones camp finally realizes how easy it is to put out music these days. On the other side, I'm not so happy if the output is a piece of shit.

I was just curious whether some of the claims you made were a) speculation, or b) the product of your poring over publicly available info, or c) the result of your being an 'insider.' There was/is basically zero promotion on this gig, so not a surprise it did not sell out quickly. Stones Voodoo Lounge was my first gig in 1994. It was @#$%& impressive, going to be great to get back there more than 20 years later. Also makes me aware of the fact that I'm getting older... The organiser is saying that he doesn't want to break records with this gig, I heard a capacity

QuoteIrix QuoteLorenz Another Hungarian newspaper is reporting on this, they talk about two independent sources that confirm negotiations are underway right now. If it's a Sports-Event in Budapest (mid July 2017) the Stones need probably a own Stage as well as Rehearsals before. Much effort for only one concert .... I agree, it seems unlikely.

QuoteThe Sicilian I gave it my first spin last night and doing the reruns now. For the Stones I think it is a great effort. The music sounds phenomenal! But unfortunately, the singing is bad. Mick's voice comes off too upbeat, high pitched and nasal for the raspy blues that listeners have come to expect this stage. He sounds too English on this. I know he has struggled with pitch the last c

No please, no more cover albums. 1 was cool, more would be lame and cement their reputation as not having any creative force left. There might be one bad outcome from the unexpected success of B&L actually: They might feel even more insecure about their songwriting abilities and the reception of own songs now.

Most newspaper hint at a full release tomorrow, not just a single. Maybe they got a good deal with Apple Music or Spotify and it's going to be a full digital release tomorrow with a CD to follow later. I'd approve.

Quotewonderboy I support what the British voters did. The EU only works if there is true monetary and political union, like a United States of America, for example. If Germany has 4 pct unemployment and Spain has 20 pct, then it has not worked. If the Germans are putting the screws to the Greeks, then it has not worked. In the U.S. if one state has low unemployment, people from other states mo

QuoteWild Slivovitz Interesting to hear that these enlighted "young" and "educated" people like Junker, Barroso and so on managed to build a prosperous society like for instance in Greece...
