the relationship between the stones and the angels is interesting. in london for the hyde-park-concert they were pretty good as a kind of security. in altamont not. didn't the then chief of the angels (sonny barger?) want the stones to be killed afterwards? so i find it a bit mysterious why the angels get this special treatment nowadays. strange indeed.
