Quotekeefriffhards Quotez I hate the past perfect progressive form. Well, maybe hate is too strong a word, but all these tenses in English - I think I will never be able to get my head around it. In Hebrew we have past simple and that's it. We get along. But in English it's so complicated, I usually give up posting for that alone. The other thing people do in English that's a

Quotekeefriffhards Quotez QuoteBjorn So they DID play Miss you. I had to check. Not even youtube cares...Why not The last time, Mother´s little helper and It´s all over now instead? Ten minutes are ten minutes. Because Keith needs a break after his set. Haha, you actually have a point there mate. Miss You isn't always there after Keith's set for no reason, Riffy, it's his ch

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTaylor1 QuoteProfessorWolf QuoteAnd there was a strange moment at the start of Satisfaction. Keith and Ron were not ready with their guitars and already the famous notes of the song could be heard? Seemed like some sort of backing tape was playing? I was wondering of other attenders of the show noticed this? just noIts probably Matt Clifford you are hearing Not at

QuoteStonedRambler QuoteNikkei QuoteNikkei "Slip away, pal" is obviously an instant classic and just as cool right after that when they come in late for the bridge Keith exclaims "Bastards!" Keith's set is the new spot for cleaning the stage They were lucky to catch him without his Telecaster... What the fu¢k were they doing there?!

Start Me Up is one of those songs that suffer most from Charlie Watts absence, imo. I don't know what exactly he does there, I guess it's just his touch....it seems so simple, but no other drummer can do it right.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Quotez QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Quotez Rob Bowman too. He said the record sounds exactly as he remembers it. Rob Bowman was at the first night’s show, this is mostly from the second night. Where were his comments? I’d be interested to read more of his recollections. He said so on that panel discussion at the ElMo. Or was it somebody else who said it..? Anyway, one of them

Quotehbwriter Does Jagger say "tout le long de la ligne" (all down the line in french) during the second verse? I hear "Yeah, hear the women sighing, singing sha la le.." which is kind of a quote from the early version of the song.

QuoteJordyLicks96 Quotewiredallnight QuoteJordyLicks96 Quotewiredallnight [...] Where do you have a recording of Crazy Mama from March 4? It's the one that's circulated on bootlegs for years now as an incomplete version. You can find it here starting at [8:40] OK but I think this is also from March 5, not 4 (see also Zentgraf). The vocals are the same. If there are differen

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedeardoctor QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedeardoctor Cracking up: I guess to hear a third guitar (keith comes later), mainly in the begining. Played by Jagger or is it an overdub? Same Ronnie overdub as on LYL. Thank you. Interesting: different mix and edits but same overdubs... Mannish Boy is a different edit, though. At least there is no harp while Mick is sin

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotez Quotestraycatuk QuoteMonkeyMan2000 QuoteDandelionPowderman There were no overdubs on Crazy Mama. Mick plays the the third, open G-guitar, like on the album. I agree about the overdub on WLB, though. It doesn't sound necessary. That guitar line that's so loud and which is also on the studio version is overdubbed for sure. You can still hear Ronnie'

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Thanks for the livestream link, z. Not sure if anyone tuned in. I literally stumbled on this, was just driving by and saw the marquee showing a Rolling Stones album release event. The event was hosted by local radio guy Jeff Woods and the panel consisted of Rob Bowman (attended the first night concert as a fan, later became a Musicologist, earned a PhD and wrote a book ab

Quotedeardoctortake1 Doesn't Mick play guitar on Crazy Mama? Yes, in 1997, 5 string open G tele But this looks like a 6 string strat type he used on Fingerprint file in 75-76, I thought the only song he played guitar on live until When The Whip Comes Down in 78 LP junior double cut on this one.

QuoteGasLightStreet Keith is a bit out of tune in Worried About You. Maybe interesting how close the lyrics are to the finished version in 1981. Nice how Ronnie's solo laid back while Charlie was laid back. Yeah...seems like Ronnie tries to push forward but Charlie keeps holding back. In the studio cut he switches to the snare after the solo starts, but here he keeps going with t
