I've always wondered just what Crosby brings to the mix. Decent harmonizing vocals - at one time. That's about it. He may have occasionally strapped a guitar over that big belly of his but that's just for show. Stills is the guitarist in CSN. As for the picture/photo up above - I believe that is Patti Boyd (Harrison/Clapton).

Quotemr_dja Quote1cdog So, any estimates in regards to how much this "free" concert cost the Stones? Any idea what it would have cost to put it on? The Stones got paid. Not sure if they "profited" from the show but pretty safe to assume that they did not lose any money. Peace, Mr DJA Oh OK. Thanks for the info. I thought they financed the whole thing themselves

QuoteTitle5Take1 I wonder if Mick and Keith read Elton John's recent comments: "The night before Elton John's big Wiltern show, he's back at the theater to do a small concert for Sirius listeners and a question-and-answer session moderated by Rolling Stone's David Fricke. Elton is at his most charming, slagging on Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for rarely producing new

Quotecrholmstrom Quoterbk Quotetatters Just heard that Mick Ralphs is sitting this one out and will be replaced by Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes. Should still be good, but .... kinda like seeing the Stones with Mick and Charlie as the only original members. Hey, speaking of great double bills who are gonna be out on tour this summer, how about Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy? Jeff is always t

QuoteJah Paul When I saw the Eagles two years ago (first and only time...sure glad I went), Joe stole the show...his playing was stellar and his voice in great shape. First time I'd ever seen him, too - he blew me away! You always here this from quite a few people after an Eagles show. I had (yes past tense) seen the Eagles a few times. At times I came away feeling that Joe had been t

Saw Don Williams do a show at the Kennedy Center in DC back about 1990. Not your typical Kennedy Center show. Clapton and Townshend recorded a song of Don Williams, "Till The Rivers All Run Dry" on a CD/Album for/with Ronnie Lane.

QuoteRipThisBone I know him from playing in the band with Ronnie Wood for a great version of Seven Days at The Bob Dylan 60(?) anniversary in MSG. Maybe some one can post this clip. I'd like to see it again! Thanks! That band would be Booker T and the MG's. Steve Cropper on guitar too (Steve was the original guitarist with Booker T). Green Onions?

I thought Ernie Watts playing on the 1981 tour was kick a**!! Very talented musician who not only slotted in immediately but was able to add to the bands overall sound. JMHO........

Really? Marc Ford needs donations and is seeking donations from the general public to fund recording a CD/record? Just a thought. You might do better pushing this on a Black Crowes website than IORR.

QuoteHairball It was stated by someone years ago that Mick indeed had hair implants. I don't have a source, but I think it was a hair expert either posting here or on shidoobe or rocksoff. Whatever the case, Mick and Ronnie might think about letting it go natural grey like Keith and Charlie...and Chuck. "The Maverick" was the source...........

Quotejlowe Quote1cdog Keith uses a hair piece. This after years of failed hair transplants. No, I don't think so..its far too unruly. Its thinning at the front certainly and a bit on top. It will be like Dad Bert's...no picture to hand to check. Well Keith sticks to the bandana hair poltus. I think he has gotten positive results with that. I mean take a look at pictures fro

QuoteRockingLonestar Quotetornnfrayed Just out of curiosity I watched some of the Stones 1990 Tokyo concert on youtube. This was 25 years ago after all and maybe, I thought, they were not as bad as I remembered them then. But after watching some of this show, I must say they were worse than I had remembered. Just for the heck of it I then watched some 72 footage from MSG. No comparison. The
