QuoteGasLightStreet Quote2000 LYFH QuoteGasLightStreet I've never been under hypnosis to think of Clapton as whatever he thinks he is or hailed to be. He's God to me and you I've seen Prince. He was God. And with that post we have been officially "gaslighted"

Thank you for the memories of that show RisingStone! Quite a bit that the above article does not cover well. The article is full of inaccuracies in my opinion. * The source of the opening solo on Layla. * The actual meeting between Clapton and Duane Allman. I will go with Greg Allman's story/version of the meeting. * The Rita Coolidge stuff. This grows exponentially, and in my

Thanks for posting spikenyc! Great music! Waddy on 2nd guitar........a white Les Paul that I believe I have seen him talking about that....if the same one - plays loud. Something about how it was made. Leland Sklar jamming out on Bass. I kept waiting on him to get his hand stuck in that beard Ringo sounding good.......he must be using black boot polish #2 on the hair and beard

I have watched that new song/video a couple of times (about all I could stand) - what is the message? Is there a message or a theme/idea to the lyrics? Thanks in advance!

In addition to the names previously mentioned, Mark Knopfler and Joe Walsh are a couple of folks that have used PRS.

During the Ferrari Formula 1 glory years of Schumacher, Todt & Brawn, Clapton would always play a private concert for the Ferrari F1 Teams end of year Christmas party. Rumor had it Clapton was paid off in a new Ferrari car each of those performances. I have a boot of at least one of the performances. Here is a link about one of his performances for Ferrari:

QuoteJavadave Almost Famous is a great film, but it is a fictional tale, based around Cameron Crowe’s life. It weaves together truth and fiction and has many strong performances. The Allman Brothers are certainly one reference point for the fictional band Sweetwater. The ABB’s roadie Red Dog portrays himself in the film. The hilarious scene where their plane almost crashes seems more of a rif

Zep's best releases/material, outside of HTWWW, for the last 20 years has come from fans/collectors/bootleg companies. I look for 1 or more of the legendary Japan 1971 shows to be released on DVD this year - fans/collectors/bootleg companies.

Yeah, "Watch Our for Lucy" is great! So is "I'd Make Love to You Anytime", "Golden Ring", "If I Don't Be There By Morning", also "Promises." I enjoy the whole Album/CD. My favorite though would be "Tell Me That You Love Me." On the new upcoming release I am really looking forward to hearing the Peter Green-era Fleetwood

Not only do I find the song boring but an artist that must resort to using/writing swear words in the lyrics of a song clearly is lacking in the creativity department.

Quotenorthof49 Time to lighten things up a little bit... Absolutely love that song! I never tire of hearing it. 2 great guitar solo's. The first solo by Duane is so lyrical and the phrasing is just perfect. I like Dickie's solo too but Duane's is very special.

To manage hair implants successfully one must not cut corners. But Keith barely has any hair to manage True, true....... That said what hair he does have is, IMO, mostly the result of failed hair implants.... And we have all seen the bandan

Thanks for posting that article Rockman. That was a nice read. Reading that helped tie some loose ends in my mind about those sessions. I have the recording in several different formats. I never really understood why there has never been more acclaim or accolades associated with that recording. I have always really enjoyed it. Clapton playing stupid with Wolf is really genius stuff.

November and December of 1978 saw Muddy and his Band opening for Clapton on Clapton's 1978 European tour. If you would want some first hand accounts of the Stones sitting in with Muddy in 1978 in Chicago visit Bob Margolin's website and drop him a message. Bob was Muddy's lead guitar player during that time period. bobmargolin.com

Quotedaspyknows Quote1cdog I totally agree with the comments above concerning the May RAH shows. At some point someone was having a disconnect from reality and that was not helpful to fans at all. I mean someone in EC's camp actually added a show to the RAH schedule as recently as December. I have probably seen maybe 40 EC and Cream shows at the RAH. Many fans from around the world
