Bobby played his trademark snake-charmin' hip-shakin'sax the way only he does! Great seeing you Little Queenine and if anyone on this board has a chance to see Joe Ely, especially with Bobby Keys and David Grissom...GO! They're playing in Conroe, Texas tonight and Ft. Worth on the 4th.

A friendly reminder - Bobby Keyes will be part of the great Joe Ely Band along with guitar slinger David Grissom next Wednesday, July 1, the opening night of the American Music festival at FitzGeralds! Advance tickets are only being sold as a 4-day package to the Festival so you might want to get there relatively early to get a single night entry at the door...there are plenty of places to sit

Well, just outside of Chicago at FitzGeralds in Berwyn on July 1 to kick off the American Music Festival with the great Joe Ely Band! And if seeing Bobby isn't great enough, the great David Grissom will be on guitar! So filstan, little queenie, 3dDteafoe and anyone else from the area, I strongly suggest you don't miss this!!! Beast and pauly, it's worth a flight!

In my view, and hopefully some of the guitar experts can chime in on this, it was the first song Keith set in open G tuning...it sure sounds like it. And the strumming of the chord (especially at the beginning) seems like a precurser to JJF. Also, this would have been a great b-stage song at open-air shows...

If you're framing something truly important to you (which it is probably is because you're framing it), find a top-flight framer and request museum quality glass. It's expensive but worth it.

Drinkin' Tn'T and Smokin' Dynamite is great but Stone Crazy has the most maniacal guitar playing I have ever heard.

In general their mid-tempo grooves are very sexy and prvocative...Honky Tonk Women and Tumbling Dice played live come to mind. Maybe the words aren't the sexiest, but the groove sure is.

For all of you art fans, if you like Andy Warhol you might also like works by Leonard Baskin, especially his Native American series. I wish I could post some here but am too technologically backward to figure out how to do it. It's powerful stuff - worth Googling "Leonard Baskin Native American" Rooster in particular will love this guy...

Paulywaul is right. For the third Stones show I had 101, row H, seat 15 and it was "front row" and seat 15 was on the end...the perfect seat! And I got it through Ticketmaster (the British version) less than a week before the show! Good luck!

Speaking of Marianne, does anyone know what happened to the great live version on YouTube from 1999 of Dreaming My Dreams? If someone has it, would you be kind enough to post?
