Agreed with Mr. Roboto and honorable mention goes to The Name Game. But I've liked Go All the Way since I was 10 (though I still can't figure what it's about)

I saw five on this tour - Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Charlotte, and two in Chicago. Got a long handshake with damn direct eye contact from Keith on his way back from the B-stage in Charlotte. My seat was one from the runway bewteen the main and B-stages and the sound was great. The first Chicago show was off but the second one was tops. As far as the opening video goes, the first time was c

RIP I saw Charlie Louvin at the great Fitzgeralds in Berwyn, Illinois (Chicago) last February. At one point he said "You know, this afternoon I read in the newspaper that eight people are going to be killed tonight alone by drunk drivers. Eight people. So I say...Bottoms up, get in the car, and go get 'em!"

I have a feeling Keith would be the top draw ever if he did in-store appearances. How people would come out of thw woodwork if they knew they would meet him and get an autograph...

Exile is pretty intense. Also, hit YouTube and watch anything you can from 1972 and then search "Stones continuing" and get a great live version of Beast of Burden.

Dammit inopeng, first you're dead wrong about Bobby Keyes playing or not playing with Joe Ely and now you're wrong about LeBron. Take a break from this board and get it together.

Filstan, it sounds like you were right in front of me for the Nighthawks, who I thought sounded great. A Bobby musical hghlight was the instrumental part of Can't You Hear Me Knocking played with Joe Ely's band. They really did it really well and kudos go to Ely's Flatlander's drummer and bassist Jimmy Pettit for their part in it. I hope someone puts it up on YouTube.

wineaux...it was really fun. For what it's worth, I was the guy in the obnoxiously bright yellow cyclist shirt...I figured (correctly) it was a good way to stay comfortable. Did you watch any of Willie Nile? When he said he lived in Greenwich Village I wanted to say, "No, really?!" Just looking at him it seemed pretty obvious (in a cool way). One of these days we need to m

Apologies for being wrong about Bobby not playing. Not only did he play, but he played more and better than last year. Also, for what it's worth, the person who told me he would not be playing had good reason to think this was the case...they just assumed a little too much based on the information they had and so did I. Filstan, I honestly thought we would finally meet. I looked fo

Wineaux, Trust me on this - go regardless. This is the best one-day line-up they've had and they've had a lot of other good ones. Also, don't miss Dave Alvin with the Blasters...

A good source tells me Bobby will not be playing with Joe Ely after all. Joe Ely is still great live and the rest of the day's line-up makes it well, well worth going.
