Even on ole micawber? I could see some of the new teles and others like the darryl jones guitar tele but the sound it produces to me is amazingly identical to micawber and malcom. Unless Keith recently changed it. Btw did he mention the value of the pentometers in keef's tele?

The biggest to Keith's sound on a tele apart from correct/close pickups isnt the bridge but having a swamp ash body tele with the broadcaster circuit or dark circuit. Tune it to open g and you are there. The change is amazing and when I strummed it the first time with this wiring I could hear that distinctive tele keith tone that I have never been able to get.

The value of these instruments is astronomical. One because its vintage and two they are rock icons because of thier owners. It would make sense they warehouse them so they can have regular maintenance when not on the road and in order to carry enough insurance on them.

The soundtrack to Great Balls of Fire is fantastic! Not one bad song on it. I dont think its still available so you will have to find one used. Jimmy Vaughn was playing guitar on it I think. Fyi- the movie great balls of fire wasnt as good as the soundtrack.

Keith Richards- tele in open g. Tele with humbucker (others may have tried it previously not sure but Keith made it stick, clear dan armstrong, triple humbucker lp. Jerry Lee Lewis- he didn't change much cosmeticaly but the wildman on the piano he did make famous.

I agree with both Flacnvinyl and BVs posts but I still want a new album. But Johnny Cash had a great run at the end of his career. It was arguably better at points than his Sun years. The Stones should just relax record some new guitar driven material and release it! Make it easy and all blues. No duets though! Those always sound so pieced together unless it is done like Johnny Cash's later

Charlotte! Keith was on fire! Especially during some girls. Not to slag ronnie (I love rw btw) but he was very low in the mix that night. It seemed like Keith knew it and decided to carry the show and set his guitar on fire. I wish I could get a great recording of this show!

My understanding is that it is an original gibson paf. I could be wrong. The stones gear book might provide more conclusive answers if someother wise iorrian cant provide a conclusive answer.
