QuoteMonkeyMan2000 QuoteDandelionPowderman There were no overdubs on Crazy Mama. Mick plays the the third, open G-guitar, like on the album. I agree about the overdub on WLB, though. It doesn't sound necessary. That guitar line that's so loud and which is also on the studio version is overdubbed for sure. You can still hear Ronnie's lead underneath at 2:11 on the left side. It

QuoteTheBlockbuster Ronnie's guitar sound is a bit tweaked (especially on Hot Stuff). I wish they didn't feel the need to "fix" these releases and add a bunch of delay. Not everything has to sound like it was recorded yesterday. The problem with the sound on these releases is that the final say is made by a 78 year old who's been on stage for 60 years. How's his he

Quoteslewan QuoteIrix QuoteMartin90 Considering there'll be a new stage, wherever the rehearsals could be, they will do some kind of dress rehearsal in Madrid on may 30 or 31 don't you think? My 1st Stones show was the recently released Wembley show . I was down in the crush as usual in those days of GA stadiums and I always remember what struck me first was the bass. It literally rattled your chest. They certainly lost something when Bill left and now without Charlie it's gone . Replaced with something surprisingly good but it's gone . Hats off to Steve and Daryll but it wil

It's come a little too late. Vegas was a possible when the dates were first announced but I've given up . It would have to be very early November as you would need a day before the show . Too many what ifs . Roll on RAH in December (a guess) I will follow the tour remotely . Hope everyone has a blast. sc uk

Back to Covid related issues. What do people feel about crossing the world if the Stones fall tour comes off ? The UK message on travel is so muddy. I wouldn't want to commit to buying non refundable Tickets / flights at the moment as well as well as dealing the every changing quarantine rules. Kind of a mute point at the moment as the US won't let us in. sc uk
