They talked about this yesterday on CNN and showed the boys on stage playing Rough Justice.

I agree it was probably a myth but it made the rounds in the 70's after people said Alice Cooper bit off a chicken's head. The rumour was Zappa was trying to be grosser than Alice.

All in 2003: 1. Olympia 2. Roseland 3. Wiltern As much as I like to bitch about the set lists this time around, I THANK the Stones for the 2002/2003 theater gifts that they gave us.

1st Anaheim show in 1978. They made us wait 3 hours in the hot sun following the last opening act and then really sucked. I think they were drunk and were fixing guitar strings betweem songs and the like. Jagger was drinking Heineken on stage. The LA Times had a picture and the headline was: SAD DAY FOR ROCK: Stones turn to Dust. The following day, same place and time was a totally

Almost Hear you Sigh. I loved hearing this at Basel in 1990.

You could definitely here a triple echo on the floor but it was better than other Skydome shows.

It is a great CD, like having them in your living room. I absolutely love it and play it every party I host. I saw Don Was at the Wiltern show in 2002 and thanked him for this gift. The video of making Stripped is also worth watching.

Didn't he play this at every show in 1981?

I would drop both of them. Great songs but boring after 16 years of almost straight touring. I'd rather hear more from ABB than these 2 over and over. Same with Miss You and HTW. I agree with 4tylix, in '89 SFTD was a major rush but doing it every tour since has made it a drag to hear. I'd love to hear it played with the guitars at the beginning like Get Your Yayas Out.

In Hartford he ran from the extreme right stage all the way to the extreme left side. And I mean running! People are saying he should write a book on whatever he doess fitness wise to be in that condition at 62.

The theater shows are the ultimate and the Stones gave us that gift during Licks. For long time fans like me, it was the first time we ever even got a crack at getting into these type of venues. AND the boys really seemed to enjoy it and rose to the occasion. It also got more attention than any stadium gig so from a PR perspective they gained a lot of points (and press). I am not buying thi

Depends what you mean by "meet". Shaking hands and a hello or a full conversation? I have spoken with Charlie as his hotel room was across from mine so I saw him a few times in the hallway. I shook hands and gave greetings with Ronnie. Mick signed something but I don't call that meeting him.

I don't want the War Horses either but with stadiums and atenas at $450 a ticket that is all we will likely get this time.

I heard they are opening with a remake from another band. Apparently the opener is going to be a Pink Floyd number: MONEY, it's a gas, gas, gas!

I recall that did happen for the Tower show in Philadelphia but not at the others. Definitely not NY or LA.

He was very nice to me and a friend a few years ago. After a show he let us come on the tour bus and signed a Stones jacket for me. I asked him if he minded first and he said he was fine with it. It is displayed/framed proudly on my office wall! He and his band were very friendly and chatted about music and non-music stuff and were not rushing us off the bus or anything. I found him very accomod

I think this is a great sounding CD, I really like parting to it. I saw Don Was hanging out at the Wiltern show during Licks and didn't know what to say so I said great job on Stripped. He smiled and was friendly.

I haven't got my DVD either. I hope they give priority for pre-sales based on WHEN you joined...i.e. July 2004.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't they go on sale the day of the Licks Press conference or the day after? I scored my Wiltern ticket on the fan club at about 10 at night that day.

I think they would have announced it by now to the press if the press conference was happening in 2 days. I recall knowing about the date ahead of time on the last few tours. Not sure when the Blimp one was told to the press but the others were definitely known as I remember sitting in front of TV taping it.

Becks is always one of my favourites, followed by Stella and then Grolsch. Not that I want him to fall off the wagon again but wouldn't it be great to have a beer with Ronnie? I think he'd be the most fun followed by Keith. But that might get scarey!
