One time I shook his hand and he said "ow, you hurt my hand". He had a show the next night so I was all apologetic but he was probably just having a go at me!

Quotebv They have said quite clearly this tour is 15 stadium shows in 15 cities. The extra days in the schedule are probably in there for resting and breaks, they need those breaks. So the rumor on the San Diego thread that a 2nd San Diego show could be added is false? That is good to know as I would hate to book a return flight on the 25th and then find out a 2nd show is added for the 26th or

Quotetauk This is a quote from the www.utsandiego.com website. I of course have no idea if this is just mere speculation???? It gives no real source for this "possibility" Just thought I'd point it out. "Because the Stones' upcoming San Diego performance is their only announced West Coast concert on this tour, it is expected ticket demand will be even higher. It is un

QuoteCocaine Eyes QuoteBoognish It's interesting that for almost every date they'll be playing large stadiums but for Toronto, it's a smaller venue. Is it because they've never played Massey Hall before? The Rolling Stones have never played Massey Hall but Keith has played there with the X-Pensive Winos; Charlie has played there with his Jazz Band. So, let's just say th

I would say that there will be some form of announcement from the Stones saying get ready for a press conference, or web announcement etc. at a specific date and time. I don't think they are going to make an announcement without people knowing to tune in for it.

So if they are retracing the steps of the '72 tour, I believe it started in Vancouver and Ended in New York? What other cities did they do? Wonder if they will do the cities in the same order.

RIP Sonoko, you are what the Stones are all about for all of us. Lucky to have the chance to meet you a few times at shows and hotels while following our favourite band. You left us far too soon!

I was there and don't think he ever threatened to stop the show. People were throwing sandals and shoes at the stage, at one point Mick said 'we've got enough shoes, we don't need any more" but the shoes kept coming through the next song and he said "Now I want all your shoes". The stage got completely covered in every type of shoe, sandal, boot you could possib

Quotewith sssoul It's my understanding that neither have been involved with the 2012-2014 tour activities. But what do I know No they were not. There were pictures a few years ago of Charlie and Mick with Alan celebrating his work anniversary. Maybe he retired? Not sure why Arnold is no longer with them.

They should drop it or go back to playing it like '78 or '81. The way it is played now it has lost the bluesy feel it once had. Bing back the guitars and harmonica like the original. If they dropped it, I am not sure what song could take its place for the bathroom break? May mean no beers before a show!

From all the photos they have been posting on social media they have been leaving their hotel rooms a lot more on this tour of OZ than anywhere else they have toured before. Seems more like a vacation with a few shows thrown in than a tour with the odd sightseeing outing.

QuoteJustin QuoteNaturalust Justin, NO Keith in Mick's monitor? But I would put money that Mick can hear Keith just fine through Keith's on-stage amps. I don't think Mick wants Keith dominating the mix in his monitors. Mick could certainly hear Keith during SFTD in Frankfurt 2007. That was when/why Mick went over to the side and told the techies to turn Keith off as his pla

Back to the original comment about Silver Train, I was thinking the exact same thing. It looked to me like MT tried to start playing early and got "the" look from Jagger, then Chuck went into his count to start the song. Jagger seemed to need Chuck's and the telepromter's help a few times through the song. It did not seem to flow very well. All of these issues are why we don&#

Standard set list for a first show in a city. Let's see what happens for Tokyo 2 and 3. They may pull out some gems the way they did at Staples and Boston second shows last year.

I think it is because most people on the board will not be traveling to the shows. There is interest but I expect it will be very similar set list and format as the US shows, which, in turn, were similar to Nov/Dec 2012 shows.

Quotebv The stadium stage they used in Copacabana Rio, Buenos Aires and New Zealand 2006 was a budget low scaled version, very different from the rest of that tour. With the large distances on this tour, and the original 30 trucks needed for the "50 and counting stage", I will assume they have done some smart downsizing that is keeping the great parts of the show still saving some cargo
