QuoteTumblinDice76 Honesty about the band is what separates Stones fans from KISS fans. KISS fans will buy and love everything the band tells them too. Some Stones fans are the same. The Rolling Stones should never be compared to that band. Kiss is ‘entertainment’ akin to professional wrestling, and it always was. It’s like comparing the Harlem Globetrotters to the Chicago Bulls of the

Quotefloodonthepage Great show poster. This one and Austin are the winners for the tour, IMHO. LA’s second show and Austin are my favorites, with Hollywood, Fl & Las Vegas rounding a close 3rd & 4th place. Detroit, Pitt, Atlanta & St Louis’ posters are my least favorite. But to each their own

QuoteBeastyBurdeny They were nothing short of electric in Vegas. I was amazed and would be surprised if they stopped touring because of a few off nights. Let's be thankful they pulled off this leg of the tour, which seemed an impossible task 6 months ago, and let them rest post-tour/call the shots on what they should or shouldn't do. Here here! They were the same in Detroit, if n

Traffic and sound issues…had more than a few friends there last night…I couldn’t go due to a scheduling conflict…after reading their texts this morning, I’m grateful I got to see them in Detroit this year, and Zilker Park back in 2006.

QuoteUGot2Rollme Yes, Jagger is incredible, but there was a lot of love for Keith last night at Ford Field. He spent some time on the catwalk after he was introduced, and just soaked it all in to thunderous applause. An emotional moment followed (after Connection) by a forceful, extended version of Before They Make Me Run. Yes, the tail lights are fading but there are still moments of pure rock a

QuoteSKILLS Austin, a city changing faster than Light: Ain’t that the truth!…and sadly not for the better. One of the most charming characteristics of the city is all but dead. It used to be one of the friendliest cities I’d ever been too…and curiously of the US Military I’ve been to every continent, save Antarctica. Austin itself and especially near the University of Texas Campus, you cou

QuotePaddy In a lot of ways, Noel Gallagher was more of a “spokesperson for a generation” than Cobain was. (The other “voice of a generation”) Those first 2 albums, and the amazing singles they released at that time, were amazing times. Some of the B sides were better than most bands album material.... Whatever wasn’t on any album! I couldn’t agree with you more, on both of your points

QuoteBig Al Quoteslew Most of Exile On Main Street. I was late to the party. When I got into the Stones around 77-78 it was one of the last albums I got and I didn't think that much of it. Always liked Rocks Off, TD, Happy and All Down the Line but the rest took a while to grow on me. I now listen to it often and think it is their finest work. In fact I don't think that there is a

QuoteBowieStone QuoteLeonidP I got the first album too, Shake Your Money Maker, and I liked it a lot at the time -- still do! But I could never understand how they maintained a following after that, I was lost after Southern Harmony myself. Amorica is their greatest record. I agree...Three Snakes is good too, but Amorica is their peak.
