QuoteStoneage Nothing outrageous about that. Just an opinion. Considering the fact that he is not into reunions it's a natural conclusion. +1

Looking at Ronnie's post remembering Bowie today. Wondering if there's a recording of that jam at peter sellers house that has ever circulated. Never heard of

the live feedback sounds like the ultimate short circuit for a new rolling stones record. it may well be true for the seventies up until ty (record/live to promote it pattern) maybe not so much for their songwriting beginnings. Did they plan to play that many songs from aftermath live? it was another era, the hit singles era still. but now? in 2022 if we have to count on their need to a live fee

yeah probably it is some kind of pragmatic laziness that also fits very well with their age and rightly so. maybe it is jagger chat and act that makes me think he still fancy a hit. one thing is for sure: they dont do that to please their muse, maybe there is no muse left to be pleased for them. I am thonknof keith and how much time it took to finish crosseyed heart. i love it but also it sounds

QuoteGazza Quoteribbelchips They started playing old blues songs (which led to B&L) because they kind of had a writers-block, right? So I think the quality of the songs they wrote or recorded just don't meet their own standards. They are well aware of the fact that this album probably will be there last and with ABB being nearly 17 years old, so they likely will feel the pressure of rele

actually makes me appreciate the man more and more he does not take for granted the hyperdream of the rolling stones planet, apparently he seems to live as many (most?) musicians do: they try to sell their skill in a very difficult world no poser in that ronnie. as much as i love him, funnel s*°it setlist art for the ROLLING STONES STORE thanks chuck for keeping the book of stones music

you won't feel alone about this on this forum. I have to say that, though I am not mad about YGMR, it has grown on me and I must admit it works live and I understand why mick picks this once in a while instead of the songs you mention and many more

QuoteHairball Hoping Keith is rested up well and focused for tonight - the grand finale and last hurrah of the US No Filter Tour. This could be the last time as they always say, and it would be nice to see a coherent Keith on top of his game. +1 add my wishes and respect and gratefulness

When a band should stop? When they can't sell tickets anymore? When they can't put up a good show anymore? When they are bored about playing? When they can't make new music anymore? When some core member is no more? I don't know, some fit the stones some don't. I see the same old show on repeat for ages and I think: why? Then I listen to some MR or the good live v

Quotemicha063 I have decided to buy the old CBS mix from the 80s. I don't like the new mixes at all. The other stuff is available as MP3. So I'm happy. I'll try to get more of the CBS mixes. Tatto You sounds great and I guess the others do.too. I would skip IORR and, if I remember correctly, Exile (a capped off SV)

I still have my 1981 vinyl, I will definitively stick with it when I want to listen to TY (crackles and all) not even so many crackles
