LongBeachArena - I don’t know how you can say that Blue and Lonesome was merely a “moderate success” the record was a smash all around the world. It was the type of record the general public has wanted (nobody wants to hear 75 year olds trying to compete w/Katy Perry + Taylor Swift) the Stones to do for decades and the sales prove the point. B&L sold two million copies in an era where peop

Their Post Exile output is somewhat underrated in my opinion...Here is my list in no particular order off the top of my head. 1/ Start Me Up 2/ Saint of Me 3/ Waiting on a Friend 4/ Memory Motel 5/ Plundered My Soul 6/ Love is Strong 7/ Beast of Burden 8/ Slipping Away 9/ Undercover 10/It’s Only Rock + Roll * I’d also include the live version of Champagne and Reefer + Just Your Foo

What the Monkees are to the Beatles, Aerosmith is to the Rolling Stones. Don’t get me wrong, I like Aerosmith, but they aren’t in the same league as the Stones...They belong on the B list with the likes Van Halen and Bon Jovi.

Tom Brady is without question the greatest qb of all time. This is not even worth arguing. The man has won five SB’s and been in seven in 16 years of starting. And for the people who claim Brady is “lucky” to have won five championships I would argue the exact opposite. Brady should have won at least two more, but lost two SB’s to the Giants on two of the luckiest catches in the history of the

B+L’s numbers are quite impressive when one considers that album sales have crashed 70% since ABB and far more since the 60’s, 70’s 80’s etc...

Joel’s appeal is clearly universal as he has sold a massive amount of albums. He is the #6 selling artist in America despite the fact he hasn’t released and album in nearly a quarter century. That said, I agree with people who talk about Joel as the sound of New York. I’d actually expand that and say Joel is the sound of the northeast of the United States.

I love Billy Joel...And so do a lot of other people as he is the #6 best selling artist in history in America. Not bad considering the guy hasn’t put out a new record since 1993. Artists that Billy Joel has outsold...Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, U2 and did I mention The Rolling Stones?

I just don’t buy into the hype that “modern” Stones records aren’t good. Are Voodoo Lounge + Bridges to Babylon etc, Exile on Main Street or Sticky Fingers? No they aren’t, but they are still worthy records in their own right.

Why is Tupac in the rock + roll hall of fame? By that way of thinking, Led Zeppelin should be in the hip hop hall of fame.

On a somewhat related note, I don’t get the UK’s fascination with that cheesy Elvis record (The Wonder of You) with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It only got to #47 in the United States and that is too high as far as I’m concerned.

Wow! Not only did the album debut high, it seems to have legs. The Stones have a legit big hit on their hands P.S. The album is sold out on Amazon in the United States. Won’t be back in stock until December 20th

Congrats to the Rolling Stones for having #1 albums 54 years into their existence. Yes, there have been people who have had #1 albums decades into their careers, but nobody has stayed as relevant as the Rolling Stones. To put this accomplishment into perspective, the current “it" artists of the moment like Bruno Mars,The Weekend, Taylor Swift etc, would have to still be having #1 albums i

First off, those Hit’s numbers are not official and are often not correct. Beyond that, the chart is not complete and their numbers often change at the last second. In no way are those numbers “under expectations” I could be wrong, but I thought the expectations in the United States were between 60-80k in first week sales. Not bad for a blues cover album...I’ve seen some rumors that the Stones

This album is selling well because it's the mature album people want to hear from the band. Nobody wants to hear 75 year old men trying to compete with 18 year olds on the pop charts. P.S. Went into my local Best Buy (to buy a tv)and they are taking rain checks for the album as they are totally out of stock. I wonder if even the record company underestimated the demand?

The Stones just Tweeted out that Blue + Lonesome is #1 on ITunes in 40 countries. I understand that isn't the official chart, but still a great sign

I'm absolutely shocked at the Stones sales in the UK Sales are so strong it literally looks like if the Stones didn't sell a single album for the rest week they will still have the #1 album when the chart comes out later in the week Maybe they found the formula to sell a lot of records to the general public in the modern era?

5 stars Blue and Lonesome is a late in the game home run that many/most people did not think this band was capable of anymore. It proves the critics wrong in a big way and returns the Stones to the status of The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World... This album just feels so authentic. For lack of a better term, it's just so Stonsey in the best possible way. This album is full of

Just wondering if you had any idea if Blue & Lonesome is expected to sell well? I understand that almost no albums sell well these days, but on paper isn't this an album that should do reasonably well? It seems to me that the general public (casual fan) have wanted the Stones to do a blues album forever. Maybe the general public will give this more of a chance than the average new re

GREAT SET LIST!!! Unlike the Stones McCartney doesn't give you the same exact/safe tunes every night. Also, unlike the Stones McCartney seems proud of his very good new material. Amazing that this setlist stretches from 1962's In Spite of All The Danger to his 2015 top five hit Four Five Seconds.
