Watched it on SkyArts, loved every minute of it. Hadn't viewed it since I purchased the DVD in 2012, previously had the 50-minute version on VHS acquired twenty years ago when I began collecting bootlegs. I must check my DVD to see if it includes that 50 minute producers cut & 35 minute directors cut. I seem to recall some interview footage on the 50 minute version not on the 2012. T

Like everyone else, too many to mention. Artists like the Stones, Dylan, Sly Stone, Bowie, Prince - large parts of their catalogues I cherish. But here and now, 15 or so essentials, no particular order: Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street Prince - 1999 Tom Waits - Heart of Saturday Night Sly & the Family Stone - There's a Riot Goin' On David Bowie - Heroes Bob Dylan - High

Have come to love Main Offender these past few years more than I did previously. Talk is Cheap overshadowed it for a long time. The issuing of the wonderful Crosseyed Heart in 2015 prompted a trawl thru the other studio and live Winos material. Main Offender hit far harder on this more recent rediscovery; the grooves were more compelling, the music seeping in deeper. Looking forward to the liv

Rolling Stones: Juiced up and Sloppy - Live from Wankdorf. A future 2-CD set being contemplated. Daily Mail Review later this summer: Can a band with a combined age of whatever keep it up for 2 hours in a stadium? They certainly did; they rocked, rolled, and swaggered. The Stones really pulled it off at Wankdorf!

Quotetimmyj3 Yeah, I listened to Wembley 82 in the other day and Wyman is blowing folks away with that base line. I know things always change but he was a way bigger part of their success than some seem to acknowledge. He was/is a force. Absolutely. One of the best aspects of the last 10 years of Vault/live releases is rediscovering just how perfect Bill was with the band. Wembley '82

Wonderful stuff. Happy in particular. That Sydney show has long been a favourite bootleg, great to have some visuals for it.

Just purchased here in Limerick in Eason's bookshop, one of the main newsagents/book retailers, and it is s gem Wasn't expecting Easons to have it, but there it was, calling to me, beckoning me and my 8 year old Stones fan daughter forward - purchased on the spot! Discovering the Stones in '93 was completely unlike the internet reality of today. Information was not easy to come

Wonderful news! This past week I've had the album on a lot, rediscovering these songs. Terrific album, ageing very well.

Quotecoffeepotman I happen to love this release and hope they do more "updates" on the outtakes. I love them, even more than a new Stones album, which will probably not happen. I've added some of the SG outtakes to TY and they work seamlessly, along with some extra live 1981-82 songs and I have a spectacular album. I love it. Same, love it. The updated outtakes work brilli

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuoteIrelandCalling4 Absolutely love them, and to echo posts above, they continue to release superb music… Was expecting you to chime in! Of course Ms. Toronto, God Save the Manics Lifeblood mentioned above, great choice - though critically and commercially unloved at the time, even the band (except for Sean, who rates it) frosty towards it ever since. A lot of tha

Absolutely love them, and to echo posts above, they continue to release superb music. Between James' sublime solo album last year, 'Even in Exile', and the elegiac, captivating new Manics opus, 'Ultra Vivid Lament', 33 years into their career, they've proven to be an exceptional band. Like Big Al, I was aware of them and interested during their 90s reign, 'Go

QuoteWorriedAboutYou I am enjoying the hell out of this release. Same; absolutely loving the bonus tracks. These 9, plus the 3 from GHS (the wonderful Criss Cross, plus All the Rage & Scarlet), I compiled as an album for the ipod and playlist on YouTube. A 12-track "new" album full of high quality material.

Really enjoying the bonus disc. I'm so used to hearing tracks like Its a Lie and Fast Talking on bootleg that it is jarring to hear them with new vocals. It's a Lie was always an absolute favourite, delighted it was chosen to be part of this set. Will take time to get used to it with the added overruns and new vocals. Overall, a quality collection.

Three of my favourite outtakes from the 70s are Its a Lie/Fiji Jim/Fast Talking. The snippets seem to display new vocals on all three. Looking forward very much to hear them but hope some of the original vox are still in place. Wembley '82; snippets sound good. I love the sound, tempo and manic energy of '81/'82. Hampton and Leeds simply rock! Seattle/Houston '81 on YouTube

Quotejomo297 Amazing show. They seem to be really enjoying each other during this run. Smiles all around and they sound fantastic. Gotta figure out how to load pics, but here’s a link to “Beast of Burden” from tonight: Sounding wonderful. Lovely version of Beast of Burden. Been viewing so many great quality videos from all shows thus far and it is s marvel just how good the band are playin

The Flashpoint & Steel Wheels mini-LP SHM-CD, Japan issue, released December 2015 - do they have the CD booklets included? I like the photos of the band included in the original Flashpoint issue, cannot seem to find info on the booklets on these Japanese 2015 issues.

Much love and much respect Charlie. That amazing sound; the jazz influenced swing, the groove that powered the greatest rock'n'roll band, is as captivating now as it was for any of the last six decades People will be dancing to Charlie's irresistible voodoo drums for many years to come. Cannot believe he has departed. We love you Charlie.

Quoterebelhipi QuoteIrelandCalling4 Diff in price for TY 2-CD set and the 4-CD is quite something. 2 CD 16.99; 4 CD (incl pic disc and 124 page book) 130.99! That is 113 Euro extra for 2 extra CDs, picture disk and the book! Yes i agree. Im not a vinyl guy. I want to buy it but i cant justify paying 113euros for a copy of the wembley show. I probably will so same as with Goats Head Soup

Sucking in the Seventies is my favourite Stones compilation. Like above, love the sequencing, the inclusion of then-rare tracks, and even the edits. The Hot Stuff edit in particular, distilled that killer groove into 4 glorious minutes (full version equally magic obviously). I add the Miss You 12" mix to the ipod version of SITS, and it fits the mood perfectly. Whip is savage live ve

Always been a favourite; instrumentally, vocally, wonderful stuff. Along with the lowdown paranoid funk of 'Fingerprint File' and the Latin tinged 'Time Waits', these three 6 minute plus tracks, along with the title track, were four too quality standouts on the album.

Have loved this one since first listening. 1994, beginning of my fandom, purchased the albums 1968-1972, followed by GHS on vinyl, then Black and Blue. That wonderful album cover, to the exotic sounds contained - hard funk, reggae, soul, jazz, and cool, spare rock'n'roll. Love every track on it, even Cherry Oh Baby. I recall reading material on some of the albums' admirers: Izzy

QuoteRockman ‘Brown Sugar’ adds irrefutable evidence to the case for The Rolling Stones as the greatest rock n’ roll band of all time. And I do mean all time, for it seems more and more unlikely with each passing year that we’ll ever see anyone even close to their like again. You could just as easily point at anything The Stones recorded from ‘Jumping Jack Flash’ up to Exile On Main St - and I wo

Quotepeoplewitheyes Still In Love! What a beautifull tune. Haunting piano/guitar motiff, Jaggs and Keef yelling raw into the mic. Who else loves this one? Anything else we know about it? Love it! Had of course heard the other versions available on previous boots, and always loved the melody. This version is a pleasure to have. Great stuff indeed
