It was a great show. The sound was very good in the 335 section. Mick had a lot to say during the course of the show. He was drinking a ton of something out of cup near the front of the stage. If magic exists - they have it. Forum: Tell Me
it will certainly be an unusual show and vibe. I am curious how empty it will be. I really thought they would have cancelled it due to the slow ticket sales - combined with the storm. But, since they didn't - I will be there. Forum: Tell Me

Following The River
Great song. If I could rewrite history, the Stones should've come back touring already in 2010, and playing Pludered My Soul and Following The River as their two new songs of the tour, and Doom and Gloom + One More Shot should've never happened.
I was listening to Plundered My Soul and The River this morning. V Forum: Tell Me
I will make the 3 hour journey from Pensacola to New Orleans on Monday. It is almost 41 years to the day - that I first saw the Stones on the Some Girls' tour on July 13, 1978. Of course it won't be the same without Van Halen and the Doobie Brothers - but it will be a great show. I love the Stones and I'm very fortunate to see them for the 27th time this Monday. Seat Prices dropping rapidly!
Pit 494 and tickets for just 64 bucks also.
Decent club deck seats near the front now down to $110. I did the last minute thing for the Who in London yesterday. For slower selling shows, It really does pay to wait it out.
Are you getting this information from the local box office? Forum: Tell Me

I regret taking the car. Train looks safer to get there.
I was there for the Licks show in 2002. It remains the worst stadium for access I have ever experienced in over 30 years of concerts. Even worse than Twickenham. Unless you can stay at close proximity to the show, your best bet is the train and even that’s treacle slow.
Worse than Twickenham??? I made that Forum: Tell Me
I had Lucky Dips for three of the four shows I saw on Zip Code tour. They were all in the nosebleed sections - but you cannot complain about the value. I'm doing the Pit in Jacksonville. Forum: Tell Me
80,000 in the Superdome in July of 78. The afore mentioned 87,500 in 1981. The fantastic Steel Wheel's show - sold out in three hours. After attending all of these shows - it was difficult seeing the Superdome less than full for the 94 Voodoo Lounge show. Forum: Tell Me

They can retire the blues tunes and put a classic Stones song in that slot.
Absolutely! There are too many classic Stones' songs to be played, to be using up valuable space doing obscure covers. Forum: Tell Me
They got it right on that comeback tour. They nailed it. I suppose it depends on perspective - but I preferred the preciseness of the 89 tour vs. the slop of 81. I saw them both. I was blown away by the Steel Wheel's tour. Easily my favorite stage and presentation. Forum: Tell Me
They are criticized for playing "warhorses" to death, but they often ignore a few of their famous songs from Hot Rocks. Mother's Little Helper, Ruby Tuesday, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Play With Fire, Time is on My Side, etc. Forum: Tell Me
Three Dog Night was never considered a cool band - even in their salad days. But damn, they had some great songs and their harmonies were tight. I'm a fan!! Forum: Tell Me
It's not a LD situation - but our tickets were upgraded from the lower level at the rear of Twickenham Stadium last June due to obstruction of the lighting and sound towers. Forum: Tell Me

The size of the pit is much larger on this US leg of the tour. The pit in Europe was smaller. The Golden Circle concept was a pretty decent value in Europe. It was general admission and the early birds could occupy the same space as US "pit."[/quote
I was in a PIT No Filter 1 and No Filter 2.
How much larger is the 2019 PIT going to be??
Thanks

Here in Florida in the
SE United States, it is hot and humid as usual. Difference now is the hurricane left us with no power and thus no ac to beat the heat. However alive and well or as well as can be. Just got some phone service back,in and out at Times so able to post. May post some pics when I get a more realiable data connection. Stay safe my Stones friends and rock on. Forum: Tell Me
I've mentioned this before - but I had the pleasure of showing Rick Hall the movie - "Gimme Shelter." He and his wife loved the Muscle Shoals' scenes. He swears Jimmy and the Swampers stole the Stones from him. It was fascinating watching him watch the movie. He was totally mesmerized. Forum: Tell Me
