QuoteDoxa I have always said that The Beatles were the best of any pre-ABBA bands. We all love to sing those beautiful, catchy sing-a-long pop tunes, don't we? No one can hate them. - Doxa As a kid i sure hated abba

Wasn't this when Charlie had a heroin habit? It may have to do with that. Not sleeping 4 days without any drugs involved seems impossible

QuoteNashvilleBlues Current band: Mastodon (3 very different singers and one heck of a backup singer ). Smart metal with a touch of psychedelia. Their first 4 records are very good. Saw them a number of times. Especially leviathan is s great album.

Because English is not my native language blinded by the light does not make me cringe. In English it just sounds cool, is not so very in your face stupid. Technically speaking i understand but it's all a little more distant. As a consequence i have little music in my collection in my native language. Because in dutch many songs do make me cringe. I never understood why native English spe

A lot of the legendary blues recordings are not in album format. They were just singles. So I guess then it will be a lot of best of singles collections being mentioned here.

He's obviously got taste. He's picking the beautiful spots rather than the sports where the rich and famous go. In Tuscany it was Castagneto and now it is this spot in Syracuse. Italians tell me they are impressed by his choice

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteSend It To me I feel like there's probably a bunch of Mick songs ready to go and Keith just doesn't like most of them because they're too pop. Meanwhile, Keith hasn't really written much since 1997. ...or he has written "masterpieces" like "Infamy", " This place is empty" or "Losing my touch". If he hasn't

Dude. Sad to hear your story. Believe me though: The beer won't help. Physical exercise, healthy food and good night's sleep will also not change the world but you'll be better equipped dealing with it. Take care

Quoteslewan Like so many other people Clapton mixes things up by using terms like 'discrimination' (or – like others did – 'apartheid'). But there's an inportant difference: While you cannot change the color of your skin or your sex it's very easy to change you vaccination status. From non-vaccinated to vaccinated, yes. The other way around is a lot harder.

Quotegeorgelicks These releases only sell 10k or less, they could care less about sound quality when only a bunch of old farts are interested. The last one, Atlantic City, after 9+ months has sold 8,800 copies in the States, all the formats included. If they sell so few copies does it still make sense from a business perspective to put them out? Or are they doing the completists a favor?

So it is the Eu that is causing this mess. I remember them charging vat not just on the item but also on the postage. I tried to avoid their thievery by having a friend of mine in Tokyo repack some items and assigning it a low value. Then the bastards raised the value and made me pay even more. I'd love to take them to court for these practices but as a normal citizen you can't afford

This here for instance is about JM producing one of the best Stones album of all times. And what happened? After 3 posts we land at Johnny Thunder is a pig, heroin, Motorhead... This site was, is and will always be about fun and pass

Never understood why they included this b-side from the voodoo lounge era on the sg bonus disc. Is it a different version? Also I remember reading an interview where Mick claimed he'd quickly penned the b-sides for voodoo lounge on the spot when don was asked for b-sides. That's be a lie if so young is an sg leftover.

Keef otoh had good memories of Marseille in 71 (as it was the world capital of super-pure heroin). Remember "Life" and the 97%/3% rule? I went to Marseille for a city trip some years ago and had a great time. I wouldn't describe the place as

QuoteJimmyTheSaint Neil Young is one of my favourite artists of all-time. For me he occupies a spot just a tier below Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. I think his run of LPs between Everybody Knows this is Nowhere and Rust Never Sleeps is unparalleled in the annals of Rock n' Roll. As for CSN...well I do enjoy some of their music and occasionally will play 4 Way Street or dive into the
