QuoteStonedRambler Quote24FPS So..............three pages about something you already have, or close enough, with Four Flicks? Who is this for, then? Sucker Completists with too much money? If it's restored picture and audio quality with a good mix I will enjoy this release. If it's like the Copacabana and worse than the original release there is no point in buying it. Don't forget

Quote24FPS QuoteVoodooLounge13 I guess I'm a bit baffled here by many of the live releases held in such high regard around these parts, but again, it all comes down to a matter of personal taste. I don't think Ya-Ya's deserves the high praise that it does, and most certainly I don't think Love You Live even needs to be listened to more than a couple of times. I can't us

It'd become a chuck fest given the prominence of the piano. Their rythm section can handle it alright but it's also a real screamer. I doubt if Nick can still handle that type of vocal

I remain convinced there will be a new album. I even believe the story that they want the new record to be spectacular and that's why it's taking so long. I also believe we'll have El mocambo in the end. I'm a believer.

Can't we just discuss something more amusing? Like how this will affect the 60th anniversary plans.

Indeed lovely record. Overall for me the best one the kinks did is Arthur.

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteWhale QuoteNashvilleBlues Baroness. Cool. Where do you go and see them? I last saw them in 2019 in Rotterdam It’ll be my first time to see them. Very much looking forward to it. It’ll be at The End in Nashville. Super small place. Was a bit surprised by the $60 tickets, but still didn’t hesitate to get them. Saw Mastodon (with Opeth, who I don’t particularly care for)

Quote24FPS Hate to say it, but I agree with Keith. I've never heard a very popular genre, such as rap, not evolve at all. I tried to listen to Kendrick Lamar to see what the hub-bub was. It just wouldn't go in my ears. Same with the Grateful Dead. You can distinguish rock from the 50s with rock from the 60s, and 70s. After Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, rap died as an art form.

QuoteKeithNacho Quotedoitywoik QuoteFour Stone Walls What a Fantastic track! Yeah, the riff was nicked from one of the best (Richie Blackmore, SOTW) ... Some fiery playing indeed but unfortunately the song consists just of the riff and nothing else. SOTW???? I was as surprised about this as I was hearing it's chuck on drums. The source is chuck again?

Quotewiredallnight As a counterpart to the "Mono" box they could bring out a "Stereo" box with also all the early 60s tracks in stereo. I'm sure there are more stereo versions in the archives than the few tracks that were released so far. Please not. The mono box is wonderful. Once you heard that you don't want to look elsewhere.

I do hope those doesn't turn out to be a Ronnie bashing thread. I'm not a musician but just hear him go on the live in Texas CD. With headphones you can clearly distinguish his side from Keith's. Excellent stuff.

QuoteNashvilleBlues Going to see Atlanta’s very own Mastodon at The Ryman on the front row November 23. They’re probably the newest (2000) band that I love. Who is yours? I saw mastodon a number of times. Their first 4 albums are great metal records. Unfortunately after that it all went downhill. Try pallbearer. Since 2012 or so. It's the new sabbath. Great stuff

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteMaindefender Quotewalkingthedog Don't know if this has been mentioned before (can't read all those 53 pages!), but: I just got the double vinyl. Why did they not use the opportunity to add the long (6:34) version of Slave that was on the 1994 remaster ? 6:34 is on the CD, fantastic… Excellent! I've been so busy I haven't even had time to crack the

QuoteSpud QuoteRoss How about this, Love You Live Deluxe Edition. One disc consists of the non El Macombo tracks remixed, remastered, extra track or 2 whatever you can do. Bonus discs would be both entire El Macombo shows. I would buy that! So would I. I've never really understood what the problem is preventing a release of the entire El Macombo set . There are two shows to cobble t

First heard it in a record store on earphones on one of those listening benches you used to have. Immediately took it home. I was about 17 or so. And played it to death.
