QuoteMack Jigger QuoteS.T.P Will the buyer have the rights to release what's on the tape? Interesting question and a tricky one. But as it's more then 50 years old and ABKCO didn't release these recordings officially (not even for a couple of weeks on YouTube) the buyer might get away with it. Still a very expensive investment. But maybe somebody can form a group of around 100 me

Dont't know if I can answer your question, but it seems no of the "from the vault" releases are on Spotify. I only use Spotify so I'm not shure if ie. Tidal or other services has another deal with Universal. Maybe Universal don't whant theese releases to be available for streaming. There might also be a oportunity for bying the releases for download, but I'm not shur

I think it's about time they get this album out. Next year it's 50(!) years since the tour.

There's a difference in a public statement and a private message. Have some respect. This is a reply to the other posts above, not the last about FB message from his wife.

Quotemosthigh Quotedrewmaster QuoteS.T.P Quotedrewmaster I'm honestly quite gobsmacked by the willingness of so many to take this in stride and just say "well, Steve Jordan will do a fine job". (And I say this even though I have tons of respect for Steve Jordan - he is brilliant). I have to ask - would you be so willing to just roll with the punches if it were Mick or Keith that

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteS.T.P Could this be from some unused Robert Frank fottage? I doubt it. It's probably Bill Graham's work. You can see some Robert Frank footage from San Francisco 1972 in CS blues; "All Down The Line". Much closer to the stage. Yeah, you're right. ADTL is mostly close up from behind, and BS is close up front. Very intence filming and no long shots.

Thanks a lot! Seems like 2021 is a good year for new fottage from '72.

Good version, and great to see a complete sympathy from '69. Very strange that they still are holding back on the '69 fottage. Many fans have left the building ages ago. Realeasing a concert from '69 today will probably not be noticed in the mainstream media nowadays. They could just as well put it on a vault release... Thanks for posting!

QuoteEleanor Rigby What a great version!!! My numero uno... Thoughts? Dont tell anything post 1976 Your'e absolutely right! A very special version that captures the band as close to it's roots that they'll ever get. Non polished stadium rock, just pure gritty Keith, Charlie, MT, Bill and Jagger blues

QuoteDoxa Hmm.. If the whole performance is really captured, I wish they would release some way "Love In Vain" with Mick Taylor from that gig. Personally I would prefer their own youtube channel, since I am not that interest in purchasing these vault releases of whole gigs from recent years. I am not that big stamp collector of rarely played numbers in general, but the performance of t

Quotejbwelda QuoteMathijs Quotejbwelda I was under the impression that pretty much the entire audio score was redone later in the studio. At least the "official" version. I understand it was pretty dire in person and cleaned up considerably for release. jb No overdubs of any sort were done. Mathijs You "know" this...how? jb Keith might have tuned his guitar..

Quotethkbeercan Too bad there is no stereo version of the complete show.... That would be a a dream come true! It's a very special take on Midnight rambler -pure blues and very nasty. Also a fantastic setlist, played with heavy sounding guitars...That day they were the coolest band on earth!

QuoteDoxa Oh, I always have had a soft spot in my heart for that show (and I would rate STONES IN PARK, with all its omissions, above any footage of any concert since 1989). There is so much problems there for sure - uneven performances, the over-all rustiness, out of tune guitars, Mick's throat problems (langyritis), but damn they still sound powerful and convincing! The attitude, the will

If there is one tour that deservs massive coverage it's the american tour '72. This is the tour that should have had its own tour box set. They've got probably most of the concerts recorded, and it would have been great to be able to listen to all the variations from day to day, and really go "all in" and study it in depth.

150. Re: Sway
QuoteJimmyTheSaint Is there a version of Sway out there that has an extended outro? On the studio track it sounds like they faded out of an extended jam at the end. Really would like to hear that played out at least a couple more minutes. One thing is for certain -we'll never know. If they wanted to share it, we would have known by now. To be specific on the super deluxe Sticky Finge
