Saw this tour at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Steel Wheels had that massive intro with pyro, this show started with a dark stage, and a visibly lit cigarette swaggering up from the back, then the lights came up and they kicked into Somethin' Else. It was epic as is the clip from the Boston '93 show above. Could he and should he do this song now with the Stones in his set?

Usually they will note if it’s at least 180 gram vinyl which they have not. I have a vertical turntable so these colored vinyl records are fun to watch spin while they play, but they certainly are not audiophile quality vinyl reissues.

I have one ticket in Section E, behind Pit on left side of stage, Row 10 on the outside aisle. Paid $420 with fees, willing to sell for $400.

Missed that thread. But this is the entire 30 minute interview with parts 1-4.

That Stubhub price doesn’t include their fees. Add one of those $755 pit tickets to your cart and try and checkout and they’ll be an over $200 fee added to the total.

Dropping an album unannounced and unexpected has become a very popular thing by several artists lately. Eminem just did it. I wonder if they would do something like that which is seen as very current and something they’ve never done before.

This looks cool, but the Buddy Guy song from 1991 is completely out of place with the years the other tracks are all from. Wonder why they didn’t use one of Buddy’s great recordings from the same era vs one from his 90s resurgence.

This article gives a visual at the bottom of just how many seats are available for the second Soldier Field show. []

The shows are getting very positive reviews, and I will admit after years of being disappointed at any concert clip of Axl solo, he seems to be singing far better than he has in recent years. But I wonder if they didn't overreach with a stadium tour, or at least in Chicago with two nights. Looked at ticketmaster for the second Soldier Field show, almost entire sections in the middle and

Duh, didn't realize Roundhay wasn't out yet. That was filmed if I'm not mistaken, so I'm not sure why the Blu ray says Standard Definition Blu Ray.

It's difficult to sift through all the From the Vault threads for some definitive answers on the Blu Ray versions. Depending on how the show was originally filmed, video vs. film, the only advantage in some cases in the Blu Ray is the potential if they utilize the capability for better bit rate and quality for sound. For LA, Hampton, and Toyko which were videotaped, can anyone confirm th

I think a contributing factor why Paint it Black is number one is because it was in the video game Guitar Hero 3. That game sold over 8 million copies, that's a lot of exposure of that song to a lot of teenagers at the time who probably had never heard it before. I remember that shortly after it came out back in 2008, Paint it Black became the number one Stones song on iTunes.

I love Keith, and I will give this a chance to grow on me, but the first few listens this sounds like he plugged a bunch of pieces of other solo and Stones songs into the Stones-a-tron 2000 and it spit this out. I hear Eileen, the drum beat doesn't sound like it fits the song, and the end is a complete rip off of Too Tight from Brides to Babylon.

From the article below: In contrast to the country radio landscape, women are in abundance on Cass County. Lambert lends her distinct vocal to "Bramble Rose," a wistful song written by Tift Merritt, which also features the Rolling Stones' Jagger on vocals and harmonica. This tour is getting such great reviews, why does PT have to be such an ass when he opens up his mouth to the press? "The shows? I don’t like them," Townshend said. "I don’t find them fulfilling. But I’m brilliant at it. I find it incredibly easy. I drift through it." Read more at

From Keith's interview that just came out in Rolling Stone: Are you bringing Mick Taylor on the tour? Um, I'm not sure. The last I heard…I'm not sure if he's available or what his condition is at the moment. I'm waiting to hear about that. That's a shame because he's all over Sticky Fingers. Yeah, it's just one of those things. I'm not sure

Someone mentioned this in the Marc Maron Keith podcast tread. What was the story behind this. Was Wyman there or not? Remember reading conflicting posts on this back when they supposedly happened. Wasn't the rumor that Bill was there and he rubbed everyone the wrong way and was demanding or overbearing and that's maybe why his participation in those shows was reduced to one song?

Agreed on him promoting his own band. Plus the irony of him accusing bands of being dishonest while two guys in his current band pretend to be Ace and Peter by dressing just like them must be completely lost on him.

I believe it is well documented that U2 does this, or at least has another musician under the stage. Don't think this is true for our boys.

I often have to remind myself that the majority of people at a Stones show would be like me attending an Eagles concert. I have just their greatest hits albums, have zero interest in any songs from the last 30 years, and when I did preview their last album on iTunes from almost a decade ago, I thought it was awful and pointless and would be pissed if they played any of that new crap at a show vs

QuoteROLLINGSTONE Charlie immaculate as usual but OMG he looks more and more like William Hartnell (the original Dr.Who) as time goes by. Some day he's gonny regenerate! I've thought this for awhile. He could convincingly play the First Doctor as a guest star on the new Doctor Who.

Of course it would never happen, but I would love to hear the better songs on DW remixed. Pearl Jam did this with their Ten remix. They released the remixed version that removed all of the early 90s echo and reverb on everything and the difference was astounding. Took a great record that sounded very dated today and made it sound fresh. Not saying DW is a great record, but the cheesy 80s pr

That Australian 60 minutes piece from 2006 is a little jarring to watch now that they at least seem on better terms. They are both pretty nasty about the other in those interviews. Wheels really must have come off at that point in the Bigger Bang tour.

Watching the youtube clip of Sweet Virginia from earlier this week, I get a huge kick out of watching Charlie. He absolutely looks tickled pink playing that song. And he often gets that look when they play something different, or have a special guest where it's a different number. Don't get me wrong, he looks like he's enjoying himself all around, but there's an extra twink
