QuoteR QuoteAmsterdamned "But Mr. Beck also realizes that he has paid a price for his perceived obstinacy. Asked if it frustrated him not to have enjoyed the same level of commercial success as peers like Mr. Clapton and Mr. Page, he first suggested that speculation was pointless but then said he tried to focus on the positive aspects of the choices he made." QuoteRolling on Quotelittletanda I look for this 2-DVD set St.Louis 1997 by RSVP release. I know it's impossible to post here because 90% of the show is officialy released. Maybe someone can up these 2-DVD on dime ,Hungercity or by trading. I'm open to suggestions. [email protected] Don' t think that IORR is the only site which doesn' t allow official stuff. All the

Quotelittletanda Quoterogerriffin This is not official, then we can consider Miami 94, Atlantic 89 Tokio 90 and Tokio 95 as 90% official stuff... and must be delete of the sites, fortunately are they bootlegs so St Louis 97! I join to the request... Of course, St.Louis 1997 RSVp version had different cam angle than official release. And a bit less quality but still enjoy i think. Probab

QuoteGazza QuoteSend It To me My innocent mind just learned a new vocabulary term - a switch is someone who...well, you can probably figure it out. Mick, Mick, Mick, you kinky fellow. Its about a guy about to be executed....and Keith wrote it. Bet he had a little Johnny Cash in mind there..."Mercy Seat" or "25 Minutes to Go":

QuoteNikolai Ah - that's a cool suggestion, Palace. Wingless Angels is just great. I listen to it every Sunday. Beautiful beautiful album. Right - reggae compilations I'd suggest are: Tighten Up (Volumes 1 -4) - Every one of a certain age (i.e: over 40) who was into reggae in the UK had these (especially the first two). The Specials virtually founded their career on Volume 1

QuoteHEILOOBAAS She thought she was above the law and flaunted her association w/the local Rasta & she got paid out. Yeah, the story wasn't real clear, just that she started hanging out with some bad elements and was warned to distance herself but didn't...then all hell broke loose. It always amazed me that Keith remained close to Jamaica after that. There must be much more

QuoteKeefy I talk to Mac here in Austin, and he says Faces are on this year with some dates/Tour...without Rod..No word on singer yet but he mentioned, Chris Robinson, and Paul Rodgers,...I'll see him next week and see what i can find out.... Chris Robinson I could handle. Nothing against Paul Rodgers, he might actually fit in better here than in Queen, but are they then going to feel

They were clearly trying to compete with the modern 80's sounds at the time; even the almost neon bright colors on the cover of the album had that 'duran duran' look, while most of the music had that bombastic echoing drums, synths intermittently, and as Doxa commented...lots of rocking guitar with no roll. There just wasn't much rhythm to 80's music in my opinion, just

Quote71Tele Quotebatcave I don't think one should use the Lennon Remembers interview as a litmus test about his feelings about the Stones. No one, besides Yoko, is spared Lennon's wrath. I think he felt that by slamming everyone, he could make a clean start after being a Beatle all those years. From all accounts, John was arrogant, kind, egotistical, generous and a genius. It was

QuoteDrPete Thanks Again! Always will remember Johnny Johnson playing on LRRooster Funny story about that, a friend of mine was friends with Johnny, and we all went out to see him play in a local club here in St. Louis the week before the show. I brought one of his CD's to get his autograph, which he obliged (after he signed it first with an empty pen and declared "d*mn eyes, got t

Per today's USA Today: Johnny Cash's last studio album will be released on Feb. 26 - what would've been the Man in Black's 78th birthday. American VI: Aint No Grave - the sixth album in his American Recordings series - contains the previously unreleased Cash original song I Corinthians 15:55, written over the last three years of his life.

I've got several Bealtes picture discs and colored vinyl (the white album in white of course is one of them). Moody Blue by Elvis I have on blue vinyl. I've got the Stones Brown Sugar single that looks like the Sticky Fingers album. Interesting question. I'm sure I have others, I just haven't flipped through my vinyl collection in a while.

As Garrett Morris said on SNL when the Stones were on and the line about girls wanting to get @#$%& all night still had a bit of edge to it (and that was thirty years ago), "I have one thing t

I'm not sure I'd watch them on my own, but my 8 year old loves them, and I find them more enjoyable to sit through than the average Disney movie. Supposedly they want to get back to basics and back to the focus being on Jack Sparrow. No Will or Elizabeth. That sounds like a step in the right direction.

Hopefully so... Thackery's still around playing the blues club and festival circuits, and still puts on a fantastic show!

Quotevox12string My, it's very nice indeed, the things you can do with computors.. I remember when synthesisers first came out, the doomsayers said that it would be the death of live musicians...hasn't happened yet Came close in the 80's with the advent of MTV and all the electronic instruments and videos focused more on visuals than actual music. I remember reading a news
