Every show I have seen and I have seen several on this tour, I have been blessed to hear Midnight Rambler. THE BEST Song every night. JJF and Paint It, Black are not far behind. All Down the Line is great when Ronnie's slide solo is on, otherwise it could end up like Tumbling Dice or Can't Always Get which can be an absolute MESS.

I agree with a few of the posters here that the setlist will remain standard if they are playing one or two shows per country. When they play multiple shows in close proximity to one another, they usually change the setlist a little bit. When you look at the stadium shows, there probably will not be a lot of variety. Many of the visuals are computerized and designed specifically for the ty

I totally agree with Gazza about Out of Control. Very early in this tour it was actually included in the warhorse section of the setlist right after they returned from the B Stage, usually following Sympathy. Frankly, I could do without Sympathy and take Out of Control followed by Paint It, Black. I sure hope for the Europeans on this board they change the set list around. I mean Get Off

I named my son last October Nicholas Jagger. His mother went into labor the night I was supposed to be at the Stones second show in Philly. My wife, not the Stones fan I am, suggested Jagger as a middle name and in the maternity ward there were two baby boys with the first name of Jagger.

I think the reason why no one speaks of Mick's lips anymore is because they have been surpassed by none other than Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. Ugh!

In addition, in order for a tally plus or minus to go for or against a player, the goal scored must be at even strength, meaning neither team can have an advantage due to a penalty. If a goal is scored with one team a man down, no points are tabulated toward the plus/minus rating.

They're all great for different reasons. The relevancy of the band puts '72 and '69 as the two most important and best tours to date. From a professionalism of musicianship perspective, the latest tours have been very good for the simple reason they show up to play. I agree with all posters here, although prior to '89 the Stones had some bum shows '81 and '78 in P

The' 78 tour. The '81 tour version isn't bad, but the song really falls apart on subsequent tours in my opinion.

All Down the Line. Great slide solo from Taylor. 'Nuff said.

Nah!! How about the fast paced version from Brussels in '73! The prolonged jam in '78 is also awesome. Keith continues to play this song with conviction so on most nights this is still one of the best played numbers in their set, along with Midnight Rambler.

Ya Yas with Mick Taylor and Keith. I know it was enhanced technically, but the Steel Wheels version is kickin' as well. Now it just sounds tired, but listen to boot from Japan in 1990 and it sounds much better than now.

The NY concerts in '69. The version on Gimme Shelter is great, but the better one may be from the day before, the Thanksgiving night show at MSG. Absolutely killer! I like Keith's playing with the Gibson ( I think) on the latter half of the Voodoo Lounge tour.

Sorry about that. No.5 in my opinion is Some Girls if Beggars is in the Top 4. Otherwise I would give credence to Ya Yas, and ABB maybe sixth or seventh.

Frankly, imo, Michael Cohl is dead wrong about the Voodoo Lounge tour and ABB. Although I think ABB is a better album/disc, the concert audience wouldn't know it since they only play two,or three cuts a night. On Voodoo Lounge, at least in the U.S. we got a minimum of five or six tracks every night. More songs played as well, generally 23-24 songs a night as opposed to 20 now and yet the

Does anyone have this boot either from SM or someone else? I assume it is an audience recording, but is it worth it? I had heard this was one of the bum shows on the tour. I see SM's version has a few tracks from the Hollywood Bowl shows. That may be the only reason to get this boot. Just curious. Thanks.

Start Me Up Brown Sugar Satisfaction Hoh hum. How boring! Maybe Rain Fall Down or Rough Justice in addition. It will never be more than one ABB tune. We'll be lucky to get one. Although this is the Stones time on stage, don't be surprised to see a special guest on stage or a motown cover, may be Ain't too Proud to Beg.

Around and Around is a GREAT suggestion! Start Me Up is great as an opener, but if not played in the opening slot, I'd prefer not to hear it all, but I know they won't do that. It has become an obligatory warhorse. It should be something upbeat and fast and something most everyone knows. How about Respectable? IORR? How about this one for the right wing reactionaries to piss about

More ABB stuff, delete YGMR, add Winter as your rarely played ballad and replace She's So Cold with Summer Romance (another nugget never played but from the same album) or at least Shattered which they play well. Most of all, more songs. Chances of these suggestions taking place, uh, none, but the thread said "wishes". I'm hoping for Winter in the middle of winter in Balt

Bruno, You are correct and on point. The best version IMHO of All Down The Line is the matinee show from Philly in 1972. Although it may be an audience recording and Jagger's vocals a little low in the mix, the churning of Keith's rhythm and Taylor's slide solo is evident and absolutely amazing! I will say since there are numerous threads (once again) comparing Taylor and W

I know there has been a lot of complaining here on this board about the stale setlists. There is some merit to the argument and unfortunately the Stones have begun to pair down the length of their show. They started with 22 numbers in Boston and have lately been playing only 20 and only 3 or 4 from ABB. With that said, let's look at the Stones "competitors" on the road at this

Being a football coach, that is American football, I can tell you the sport has excelled over the last five decades at the professional level due to leadership from the owners, commissioners (Pete Rozelle, namely) and most of all TELEVISION. This sport caters to this medium better than any sport around. The stoppages in play are perfect for advertisers and Joe Sixpack to go to the fridge for

The SARS festival (a paid audience event) is THE largest paid event by any artist ever and the top bill went to the Stones, not McCartney and his shows in South America or Russia, it's Toronto and the Stones linked inexorably forever for Keith's bust, the tour rehearsals, and SARS.

Although I agree with Gazza regarding historical significance of Hyde Park, the SARS concert drew more people and received a better performance from the Stones, even with Ron Wood and Chuck Leavell. No one has mentioned the SARS concert (for good reasons I'm sure) yet it was the largest attended concert in history (paid attendance that is). Gazza is also right about posters choosing conc

The Stones were terrible in Hyde Park. How about the MSG shows in 1969 that were captured on Get Yer Ya Yas Out and Gimme Shelter the movie? Hyde Park was an event, but so was Altamont and they both were disasters for different reasons.

Hershey, no doubt about it. The setlist, the perfect weather, a rested band (two nights off), energetic crowd, and an overall excellent performance from the band. Better than Columbus and Albany, much better than D.C. or Philly and only Pittsburgh compares because of a great opening act, Pearl Jam. Just my opinion.
