In my opinion, this is their finest hour. When combined with Beggars of which some of the original ideas were laid down during this time, they form an incredible one two punch of American blues and country performed by the best band on the planet at that time. I think it would be wonderful to have a deluxe edition, but what could be added that we don't already have somewhere else. The &

I think they made the right call just releasing the ten original tracks on one LP, at the time it was an LP. Just wouldn't sell as well as a double LP. With that said, I absolutely LOVE the bonus tracks. Like others here, I think it could stand alone as a finished product, a new release CD if you will. There is no one "single" that jumps out at you, but most of the tracks are

There is a King Biscuit Flower Hour release of the Lexington, KY show as well. It'a good recording and decent performance, but the show is incomplete and not in running order of the show.

Living in Central PA, this scandal and now Joe Paterno's death is all we hear about. Certainly, in hindsight, Joe Paterno should have followed up to ensure an investigation was being done regarding Jerrry Sandusky and the shower incident of 2002. I'm not defending Paterno's actions here, BUT he did report to the head of security/Univeristy police who had jurisdiction of this in

Ok, I'll play along as all of us have done on numerous "fantasy" set lists threads. I'll keep mine to 20 since I don't think the band can play more than 20 in one night anymore. I will not include any tracks from the Exile outtakes or the Some Girls outtakes. Sorry, it will still lean heavily on hits as well songs I have never heard them play live and would like to see

Nothing special IMHO and there are some out there, but I have the 3D cover and vinyl record of Their Satanic Majesties. What a sucky record, but a cool cover.

Most of the shows listed here are certainly landmark in the Stones career and in the history of rock shows. I add one that I think was important to the Rolling Stones, not necessarily a great show, but not bad either. The show is Aug.31, 1989, opening night of the Steel Wheels tour. Before any of you go "oh, ho hum," think about what happened over the previous eight years since t

Chip Monck was absolutely the BEST! Simple, direct, stating..."Ladies and Gentlemen" dramatic pause, "The Rolling Stones" without his voice rising in volume or pitch. Brilliant, and he was just the lighting director, originally anyway.

I, for one, am glad we have had both to listen to over the past three to four decades. The Stones have never touted themselves in the past as having the highest grossing or most attended tours in rock history. The media has, but not the band themselves. Having just attended U2's final show in the U.S. last week in Pittsburgh, it was a great show, yet a lot of empty seats. They ann

Flyers with a redemption win yesterday and a smackdown of the 'Hawks. Too early to boast, but at least the Fly Guys are playing well and lead the league in points, much to the dismay of EVERYONE else who likes hockey, especially the league office of Gary Buttman and his buddie Colin Campbell.

Love this song! Many on this board hate it. It is very different from much of the material past and present. More punk sound than anything. Still, sounds great and a great closer to a great, DIFFERENT album, in Some Girls. Personally, I love it when they play it live, but it needs to be played fast. I love the '78 version. When I saw them play it in Philly in '81 and '89 i

Thank you! Someone finally mentions THE greatest live recording of the Stones! Arguably THE greatest live recording of a song (meant for the stage) by anyone in the history of rock and roll. Say what you want about Tumbling Dice. It is sweet and meoldic and well done, probably the best that song has ever been played by the Stones or anyone for that matter. Great recording for sure. Mi

No Expectations for certain. One that won't happen, but my wish would be for Mick Taylor to walk out and play his solo on Time Waits For No One. The band could walk off and never play another note and I would be happy. Actually, kind of a fitting way to retire, if I was indeed lucky enough to be at their LAST concert. None of us will never know when that is though until one or more o

Jigsaw Puzzle or Dear Doctor. Great album, would have been better with JJ Flash, Child of the Moon, and other tracks included on Let It Bleed since some of the early recordings of the Let It Bleed tracks were done at the Beggars' sessions.

I wonder if the DVD press will have an audio CD on the reverse side as some artists, Aerosmith comes to mind, have done. Love the DVD/Blue Ray. Unfortunately, it appears no additional CD (other than maybe the film soundtrack) will be released. As others have said, this is a golden opportunity to release a live CD from the '72 tour or even the '73 tour of Australia and Europe. Ma

I have the Aquarius Theatre shows. Rivals the Felt Forum shows and better in my opinion than the Boston, Pittsburgh (which I have) Philly, and Detroit shows which were played within a few weeks of one another. Aquarius Theatre had a great setlist. Good shows without a lot of rambling from Morrison, who sounded sober and coherent, something that he is not in the Boston show.

Sorry, another post on this. I haven't heard anything recently (within the last month or two) IF or WHEN this movie would be "officially" released by the Stones on DVD. Any new info? Any word if either the soundtrack or something else commemorating the '72 tour will be released on CD? It sure would be nice to have something official even though many of the bootlegs are q

Don't count out the Flyers! Everyone else has and they are playing golf at the moment. This team has overcome insurmountable odds including a 3-0 deficit in games and a 3-0 first period deficit in Game #7 to Boston on the road no less. I'm a season ticket holder for the Flyers and have been for 20 years. This is the best "team" though not the most talented they have had
