My experience in Pittsburgh is if you were in the back, straight shot from the stage, the sound was coming right at you and was very clear and mixed ok. On the sides, particularly higher up, it was so muddy it was inaudible at times. I think that may be more of a statement about the venue than about the Stones mix. With that said, there are no screens and no PA coming at you if you are on the

I met him in Pittsburgh two weeks ago at the Press Entrance where the lucky (I mean unlucky) dippers picked up their tickets. Very nice man and was pleasant enough to take a photo with me. Wish him the best.

My Lucky dip tickets absolutely sucked, but then again, most of them do. Best bet is to get back up seats or with the money you saved by purchasing lucky dip tickets, go to another show before the tour is over.

Moonlight Mile is better now than it was in 1999 on No Security Tour. In Pittsburgh it was great as was Paint It Black. More uptempo than played a couple of years ago, not quite as good as the Licks Tour, but still better than two years ago and glad they are playing it more in line with the tempo of the studio version. Rambler will always be one of the best they do live. I have found tha

The band is playing as good or better than 2 years ago. More energy and sound is really good as are the visuals. One complaint that has nothing to do with performance, DON'T GET LUCKY DIP TICKETS UNLESS YOU HAVE A BACKUP TICKETS OR LOCATION TO WATCH THE SHOW. Most of the tickets really suck, there are a few pair that are decent and maybe one or two pair out of 100 that are great. The

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered already but here goes: Has any lucky dip recipients on Zip Code tour sat anywhere else than in the back half of the floor? Has anyone gotten a nosebleed seat in the upper deck of the stadium? Curious. Also, it appears that the ticket locations have already been selected and are at random so there is no need to be first in line when ticket

I know it's only been three shows (Ok 5 if you include the two non stadium shows), but of the stadium shows, this is by far the best setlist in my opinion. Although we all ask them to take chances and play some of the non hits and I don't think they will veer too far from what we have already seen and heard, I would love to see them replicate this setlist in Pittsburgh or Buffalo. For me-1981 George Thorogood AWESOME choice, may have been the best, Journey, not the right choice, but were very popular at the time 1989- Living Color- Real good choice-Great band 1994- Counting Crows- Ok, not bad, were real hot at the time 1994-Blind Melon- Not as good as the others 1997- 1999-The Coors-great choice, lot of fun 2002- The Pretenders in Philly-great catalog and good show

Probably already said here, but as much as I love most of the songs from 1968-1972, if Mick Taylor is not on board then avoid some of these songs. For example, without MT I would not want to hear: Can't You Hear Me Knocking Sway Love In Vain Moonlight Mile With MT, these would be my requests and highlights of any show even exceeding the always great MR. to name a few. I don&

Got Lucky Dip tickets. Funny, the service fees are almost as much as the face value of the ticket.

Got mine for Pittsburgh. I figured, what the heck. Save some $$$ since I'll be seeing them in another city as well. Frankly, the only seats that are guaranteed to have good sight lines cost over $350. If you plan to go to one show, or have plenty of money, fine. Anyway, I realize I will probably be at the top of the stadium and may be better off in the parking lot, but still to pay

Couldn't find any lower bowl tickets under $185 with the fees. In fact, Ticketmaster originally offered seats in upper bowl in the back for $185. Sucks! I scored tickets in upper bowl closer to the stage, in 311 for $115 which includes the fees. Thank God there will be screens. Going to see them in Pittsburgh too and didn't want to take out a loan. Have fun everybody that's

Wow! These seats are expensive. Sorry if mentioned earlier on this thread or another, but all lower level seats in the back are nearly $190 with all of the fees. In Buffalo, all lower level seats were in the range of $400, I guess because of the proximity of Toronto fans. Not surprised though. With these markets being much smaller than two years ago, in a stadium instead of an arena and pr

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but I think the Stones are missing a golden opportunity of expanding and enhancing their live sound by not including Mick Taylor. I know Mick Jagger was quoted years ago that 3 guitars is too much for his taste (4 if he would be playing as well). I think this is in reference to MT's appearance in KC in 1981 where he played most of the show. I for o

Priory is nice, neighborhood is not so much. Hyde Park is very nice for nice dinner. Jerome Bettis's Bus 36 is next to Heinz Field and is decent for burgers and sandwiches, but will be crowded. If you plan to eat after the show, think about Pittsburgh's specialty, Primanti Brothers, especially those staying on the South Side.

The priory is walkable, but not advised. Stay downtown and take the T to the show unless you plan to tailgate. I am a season ticket holder for the Steelers so I have been to plenty of games and events at Heinz Field. It will be a great night. They're gonna rock the town baby!

MIDNIGHT RAMBLER-From Brussels 1973. Hands down. My second favorite live track is All Down the Line from Philly 1972 Jumpin' Jack Flash has so many good versions, the Texas '78 is a great jam and I love the fast version from '72 and '73. Satisfaction from Ya Ya's is awesome as well. Tough to nail down one live favorite and so many good ones have been mentio

Absolutely concur that Mar. 15 in Philly was awesome. Tour debut for Get Off My Cloud, I think. Really hot show and Out of Control, was out of control. Saw them in D.C. on Mar. 8 and although it was a good show, paled in comparison to Mar. 15 in Philly. Got to hear Moonlight Mile, Respectable, Get off My Cloud all for the first time live for me. Paint it Black was well done and Keith's

I was there at the opening night as well. Diverse set list. RFK is horrible for sound and the sound itself was much crisper and cleaner five years earlier for the Steel Wheels shows at RFK. Stilt walkers during Monkey Man that were only present for these two opening shows, I think. They immediately dropped Brand New Car and moved I Go Wild to earlier in the set as it was near the end on ope

My favorites list is compiled solely on the song, not necessarily what I want to hear them play live which would be a very different list. Sorry, a lot of warhorses, BUT, they really are many of their best songs. 1. Jumpin' jack Flash 2. All Down the Line 3. Midnight Rambler (Ya Yas version) 4. Moonlight Mile 5. Can't you Hear Me Knocking 6. Time Waits for No One 7. Sym

For the tour in'97 and '98 you could see the vote tabulation. You are right in that it is difficult/impossible to track now since you can vote through social media websites. I agree with other posters here as well. If you have a guest spot and you obviously know what song you are going to play with him/her days in advance, then remove it from the fan vote selection and place it in

I was at the Syracuse show too in '98. Interesting that Star Star won. I voted for it, then regretted it because it was downright awful. Back in '97, they seemed to "load up" the vote before opening to the public. Many songs had no chance of winning and others seemed destined to be in the running regardless of whether or not the people voting actually wanted it. My gues

I was at this Philly show and there is NO way Dead Flowers won the vote. No Expectations was way out in front, but Brad Paisley was in the house so they "allowed" Dead Flowers to win. I agree with other posters, put some of the warhorses in the vote and see which ones are played and which are deleted. That would prove interesting. Say, Honky Tonk Women, Paint It, Black, and Tumbli

They should have played No Expectations in Philly instead of Dead Flowers with Brad Paisley. It was up for the song vote. Paisley could have learned to strum along, let Ronnie play slide and it would have been real nice. Bummed they played this beautiful song only once and only played CYHNK occasionally. That should have been standard in the set along with Midnight Rambler or at least rotated

Most beautiful song the Glimmer Twins ever wrote, even though one hardly contributed to this track. Easily one of my top five favorite tracks of the Stones. Thanks for posting the track talk thread on this beautiful song.
