You might be right about Keith. It would explain the lyrics to "Infamy" if his part was "re-written." Undeniably though neither of them can be bothered to do much of anythng. Not only is this the longest gap between tours in the past 20 years but also the longest gap between solo projects. For the past decade, they've been more interested in doing a few songs here or ther

In all fairness, Skipstone, Mick went back for ER and TY a few years later (less than a decade at the most for TY) vs. going back forty years for the EXILE tracks and at an age when he hasn't done much of anything for the past four years. In that respect, yes any effort is surprising. Keith may be ready to tour, but based on the evidence of what's been released, his creative well ra

Agreed, arrogance and stupidity are a bad combination. As in insulting people and taking a rock band comprised of pensioners too seriously. It's only rock 'n' roll even if fans are right or wrong in predicting the future.

Had we been looking back fondly at the kickass 2006 Super Bowl half-time performance where they opened with "Dangerous Beauty" and then followed with "Laugh, I Nearly Died" only to close with "Sweet Neo-Con" and proved they actually toured behind their album and believed in the quality of their current material, then yes, I'd say we need another release to compl

Truthfully, I prefer "Hold Back" and "Back to Zero" to "Fight." The latter sounded so promising as an instrumental backing track but grew into something dreadul by the time it was mastered. "Hold Back" has great guitar work. This coupled with Ivan Neville's bass swing in the final seconds is almost redemptive. I stress almost because Mick's sh

Lyrically, I placed it with BUTTONS when I first bought METAMORPHOSIS in the mid-eighties. However, most sources seem to list it as being from AFTERMATH. Either way, it comes from within a 9-10 month creative spell that was unlike any other in their career.

It was Teddy that broke the news about "Scarlet," I believe. Don talked about it in interviews leading up to the release as well if I recall correctly.

If I'm not mistaken the idea of Keith adding to the Winos outtakes has been floating around since before the EXILE project. I think I first heard it when Keith was on Steve Jordan's radio show a few years back. Keith later answered a question about it that there wouldn't be a full CD's worth and that maybe it would be a download only like his "Run, Rudolph, Run" / &q

Cafaro, Glam Descendant - speaking of my "92" score: I turn 40 this year. I'll mark my 13th wedding anniversary. My wife and I have been together for 15 years. I don't cheat on her. I try to keep myself together for the sake of my kids, but did plenty to earn my "92" early on. Yep, I guess that makes me a clergyman.

Thanks, Rockman. It reads conversational, but that's not strange that it does. Pick up any motivational books from the business world or inspirational or self-help books if you're religious or doing a 12-step or some other program and you find that most of them are pretty much transcripts of talks. There's nothing disingenuous about it as the material is what is effective and it w

I didn't think Woody was on the track at all, but I'm not certain. I think the bridges might be Barber since they're more developed and I can't think of any other Stones song with that sound. The tremolo during the verses could be Keith since you suspect it's him on the outtake. What you term the scratching and palm mutes I would guess is Mick since the playing seems more

At this stage, it's a bit like Keith answering questions about the Winos every time he talks to the press on his own. Reality is Keith hasn't publicly worked with the Winos in 18 years yet the press asks him about a solo tour or another album every chance and he plays along. The same about Stones albums or tours. It's not impossible, but I fully understand their lack of honesty to

I don't think there's anything wrong with them. My kids love them and we have all three on our shelf, too. I just lump them in with most movies I take my kids, too. They're popcorn films that I shut my brain off for. My own taste in movies runs older or more obscure. To each their own.

Umm, maybe like LIFE, it's what William Morris recommended for their client to make some money. It may not be rock 'n' roll, but I guarantee that cameo pays better than VINTAGE WINOS.

Not trying to start any wildfires here, but Steve Jordan did state that Keith was going to finish some outtakes from TALK IS CHEAP and MAIN OFFENDER for release. Since it was already stated it would not be a full CD of new or unreleased material and since Mindless Records acquired Keith's three discs from Virgin-EMI, perhaps they will be used as bonus tracks for Mindless Records' reissu

Palace Revolution 2000, I was responding to two of MLC's posts in this thread directed at Mathijs. One in which he said "if you're as close to the Glimmers as you claim to be" and the other where he said if Mathijs didn't agree on a point with him, it would be their last conversation. I responded as someone who recently let their temper get the better of them and left the

Since it's a public forum, I think I'm in my right to point out that in over a decade of reading Mathijs' posts with interest (even when I think he's mistaken - which isn't too terribly often), I don't think he ever portrayed himself as close to the Glimmers or even suggested he knew them outside of seeing them on a concert stage. He's a musician with a good ear
