QuoteLeonidP i was a huge U2 fan at one point ... but the Pop album ruined it for me, haven't been into them much since then. Funny, I never really liked them until I heard the Pop album Staring at the sun, and Last night on earth turned me on to them. I haven't paid much attention to their last two/three albums though.

I was expecting something slightly different but it's an entertaining documentary for sure. They have a very nice way of bringing back the song Trouble throughout the documentary. I was walking to the pub afterwards and the song was stuck in my mind and I kept singing it.

The album gets better the more you listen to it It really grows on you which is, IMO, a sign of a quality album!

Listening to it now on Spotify! Sounds great!! Funny how you can easily tell that it's Steve Jordan on drums. Very different style than Charlie

Why can't they play the whole album in a stadium show for the hard-core fans? Because at least 50.000 out of the 60.000 are not hard-core fans. It's like saying why can't they play all there biggest hits for the casual fan at a club show.

Stuff about the last show is slowly popping up. Foo Fighters are the musical guest. Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Alec Baldwin, Chris Rock and Steve Martin are making an appearance.

QuoteDEmerson In addition to Buffalo, St. Paul and Broken Bones also showing they are opening in Atlanta. Listening to them on their site: Almost a Blues Brothers vibe with a little Al Green thrown in is at best I can compare. They are awesome! Check their Letterman appearance, it's great.

It's got to be Bruce Springsteen. Macca or the Stones would be great but I assume it's a big American artist. Also, I'm surprised I haven't seen Regis on yet. He must be the main guest on the last show.

I think he'll have Bruce Springsteen on. Wasn't he on his last NBC show or first CBS show?

I have nothing against "the new guy" on sax, I think he is very good but as goes with Darryl Jones/Bill Wyman they are just different and I'm so used to hearing Bobbies style. I saw the stones in Sydney and the Hunter valley and even though the sounded good it was just a different style. The brown sugar solo is so iconic it's just impossible to copy completely. He did a fine j

It's a shame they don't play If You Can't Rock Me more often. I really enjoyed it in 2003. Great song to mix up the set list.

Quotemtaylor Hi BV. All this talk about Mick T not being on this years tour, any news? The facebook page this "news" is taken from is a fan page. Mick Taylor has his own verified facebook page and there is no news on it about him not playing on the upcoming tour. The owner, a fan, of the fan page replies to a message and everybody takes it as gospel...

Quotemighty stork What's wrong with going off the script during a 3 1/2 hour show? Considering they don't have it rehearsed and in their set list they do a pretty good job. Tell me you wouldn't like to see the stones do this request thing for a song or two instead of the online votes for the three songs they want to do? Thumbs up. It is all scripted of course. They did the same

I can't believe most people forget Buddy Guy! Beck, Page, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ronnie and Keith are just a few impressive names that are influenced by him.

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 QuoteSweetThing The Who at Rock and Roll Circus...and then decades later at a benefit..forget which... Of course we all know the Stones are the long distance runners that compare favorably more often than not in most metrics.... LOL, that is exactly what I was going to post. The Circus we all know about; and that might be debatable. But the NYC post 9/11 benefit
