Hi all, I was reading a little snippet of an interview with Mick where he was talking about Paul McCartney on the new record. In the comments a lot of people were saying that they should do a show are a few songs with Mick, Keith, Ronnie, Paul and Ringo. How much fun would that be. What are the odds that the remaining Beatles perfectly fit the line up of the remaining Stones. Do some S

Quotepowerage78 Lady Gaga contribution to this track is essential. It's hard to imagine a live version without her presence, when everyone will remember the studio version. Not to mention her missing stage presence... Frankly, and no offense to anyone, how are they going to perform this without Lady Gaga live? As for Stevie Wonder, I'm already dreading Chuck Leavell's interven

Apologies if someone posted this already. Wonderful story of how the collaboration with Lady Gaga came about. Lady Gaga shares the story behind “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” with The Rolling Stones: “I was in the studio at Henson preparing for Joker, leaving to go home for the night and someone said ‘Mick wants to see you.’ I only know one Mick, so I walked down to a studio at the other end of th

Haven't read the whole thread yet so maybe it's been talking about already but to it reminds me a lot of Let it Loose from Exile which is one of my favourite Stones songs. Played Sweet Sounds of Heaven many times now and absolutely love it!

Beautiful! What a wonderful song listen to. It goes to show that a great song doesn't need innovative writing or playing, it needs quality musicians and you get this result. What a dime!

Quotegcarneiro I might have misread it but is Ronnie not a part of Sweet Sounds of Heaven? He's not been listed among the players, so that's got me confused. He's spoken so highly of it, I thought he'd be all in. By the way, I kinda wish Gaga's and Paul's, heck, even Elton's, social media accounts were more embracing of this huge collab thing and, you know, t

I imagine it was epic of course but how was the quality of the show looking back on it? I'm asking this because years ago I heard a bootleg of the first Stones show I attended and it sounded very different then how I remembered it. This is of course because I was blown away by the experience.

QuoteDeathgod Aus tour rumours gathering momentum in media. Early 2024 Melbourne, part of Aus NZ tour This would be great of course but I don't see why they would do this. Wou;dn't it make a lot more sense for them to do the States first as it is cheaper for them and they can get easy 12 show runs at a time. Australia, NZ tour will have 6/8 shows max if we look at their previous to

Great album IMO. The production/sound is lacking a bit and doesn't hold up over time. Flip the Switch for instance sounds flat and is lacking bass.

QuoteStoneage The trainers obviously are due to his foot/ankle/leg problems (even though it's denied by some fans), so it's excused. He used to wear them as elevator shoes (for height improvement). Not having his jacket buttoned is a minor etiquette miss. Hi Stoneage, I haven't been on iorr for quite a while so apologies for missing this. What kind of foot/ankle/leg problems do

Mick said in that interview that the reason for the long time between finishing the album and releasing it is because the vinyl takes a long time? Does anyone know why this is? It used to be the only way records were sold and they made a few a year.

Great show! My first and only on this little tour. I had Pit tickets so it already was a success from the start. Highlights and observations: I really noticed the slower tempo's on songs like IORR and Tumbling Dice etc but hey, if you are in your 70's and can perform like they do I'll take it! I really enjoyed hearing Just Your Foll, and Ride 'em on Down but they sound a b

Have a listen to the interview. It's painful in many ways but that's because of Stern and his side kick, but Daltrey really comes off as being a proper nice down to earth guy. He said he has lived in the same house for forty years, when asked about his wealth he says he doesn't need much money to live and he speaks very nicely about Pete and defends him when the child porn situ

I was just listening to the infamous Howard Stern interview where Roger and Pete were supposed to be on but Pete walked out. I don't know too much about Roger Daltrey but I always had the impression he's a nice, good guy. I was wondering what his relationship to the stones and other contemporaries is. In the Stern interview, recorded around the time Paul McCartney went through his divo

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteVOODOOSEBII hope the new album will sound better, cause the Spotify mix is horrible, too. Just Your Fool sounds like only Keith is playing guitar on it on Spotify. It's a weird mix. Do yourself a favour and delete Spotify from your phone/computer. The sound quality on it is terrible. I deleted it a while ago and looked up which of these apps have the best sound q

I've heard Jagger say in a few interviews that he still sees Wyman in London on a regular basis for dinner etc so he's just as likely to turn up for his old friend as Ronnie or Charlie will be.

I think it's great that they played Come Together but why play a Beatles song and not have McCartney on when he's there.

Quotewonderboy It used to be when the 'hit the wall' they would keep playing, try the song a different way, go to a different song. We've all heard the story of Keith playing the Tumbling Dice chord for 12 straight hours. I think Don is hinting that it might be over for new music. Then you are not listening to what he was saying. He only said they hit a wall on one song they wer

I love it. I always hoped they would make an album like this. Apparently a lot of people are on Spotify. I used to be but I switched to Deezer. Same product but much, much better sound quality! Check it out, once you listen to Just A Fool on Deezer you will delete Spotify. I like the artwork. It's simple and conveys the message. I don't understand why people here have such a pro

I think a few of us are missing the point. It's not about getting all the details right and most likely it's not done on purpose. This is how they remember it and of course you are going to get a few things wrong when you are talking about over 50 years ago. It's a miracle they remembered so much stuff anyway. I was reminiscing things that happened 25 years ago with my family and

Hi guys, I was listening to Keith's great new record which is great. The track Something for Nothing has a classic Keith style rhythm guitar and a great lead guitar. The lead "riff" sounds very familiar to me but I can't put my finger on it. Which other Keith solo track has that type of lead guitar on it?

This only happens because of other ways to listen to the album like streaming. I have Spotify and listen to the album there. Otherwise I would have bought the album but there's no need to any more.
