QuoteStoneage The information I have at hand now says it was probably a lone maniac who did this. I was earlier convinced it was a terrorist. Hence the rhetorics. That changes the game plan of course. You can't go to war against one person. Especially if he's already dead. I will erase my earlier post in order not to confuse or upset anyone. the method used by this assassin is the one

QuoteRoughJusticeOnYa Quotedcba C - (...) his name was often mentioned by "persons of interest". Don't know wher you get that from, but I just saw the press conference of the French authorities stating the EXACT oposite - in fact: stating explicitely that he was NOT in any way linked to nor showed interest in Ismalism 'et al'. Not loccally, not nationaly, not internat

QuoteBroomWagon QuoteStoneage Well the Olympics in Rio in August goes on for 16 days. I think a month is too long a time for a football tournament. You seem to lose interest after 2 weeks. Especially, of course, if your team is out. No, I think 16 teams and 16 days would be the ideal format. It did seem like a long tournament really, from watching the final on Sunday to the hooliganism in the

no I don't agree with a short tournament. It's interesting to see different nations that we rarely see on tv or hear of. It shows a larger vision of football in Europe and can give nice surprises. Iceland and Wales are one of them.

Quotemaumau Congratulations to Portugal, well deserved title in the end, football is also good, smart, intelligent tactics expecially if an adversary break the knee of your best offensive player (yours and the world's) 15 minutes in the game. ok you don't like the French team but is it necessary to write such a stupid comment about the "broken" knee of Ronaldo ? Payet didn&#

BW, it's no problem to me, this is your absolute right to support whoever you want to. France or Portugal, I hope the winner will do it with panache ! ok with extra time but no penalties please !!! the problem with older bikes is that they're heavy, not recommended for the mountain. Froome is probably gonna win le tour de France again after Contador gave up.

no no BW, you're wrong in 2006, we lost against Italy in final (on penalties). we won the world cup in 1998 we won the euro in 1984 and 2000. "France have enough of titles in their bag alreday" no enough is not enough ! we want a third title so let's go France !!!

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 It would be a travesty if a team that has performed like Portugal has, actually wins the title. I hope France wins. They have played with spirit. And yes - WTF is it with the Germans and the hands? Boateng was bad enough. You'd think that the first thing Low does is to schedule an emergency training session devoted only to never again jumping up with your arms ra

BW : if you talk about football clubs, sure we're not the best, I easily admit it. England, Italy, Spain are much better. Only Marseille won the champions league (1993). The national French team is also behind Germany and Italy in terms of prize list. We won the world cup only once and euro twice (maybe 3 on sunday). It's not that bad anyway. yes French rugby clubs have better res

QuoteRolling Hansie Quotejpasc95 France has always defeated Portugal in official competition except in 1996. So, statistically Portugal should win this time LOL ! well let's say that it's not impossible we had the same situation with Germany and we finally won, it's like the end of a malediction.

no Stoneage I don't agree with you. I'm not partial even if I'm French. The picture is not mine. You can easily see that Schweini stretched his arm to the ball and not the contrary so the rule is clear, it's penalty. Don't forget there was a second goal on a French attack and I don't think that Neuer has to be blamed.

Have a look at the picture below. Difficult to say there is no intention to touch the ball with his hand. Don't forget to look at Giroud's funny face on the left.

QuoteBroomWagon Quotemarcovandereijk Those neutral viewers who did not have any preference for any team, certainly could enjoy last night's game. It was a fight, worthy to be the final. A clash between two ways of playing, like a clash between Atletico and Barcelona, or Spain against Italy. It's not satisfying that the team that relies on defending and counter-attacking most of the

I'm not especially happy to say it but there was penalty indeed ! Schweinsteiger did not deny it and did not contest. I understand the reaction of some British people here who just hate it when France wins but we did it and that's it. Wonderful Griezmann who scored twice even if they were not beautiful goals.

Quotemtaylor Quotejpasc95 Quotemtaylor Quotejpasc95 there was a penalty which could've been granted to Ronaldo but was not. Nowadays, it is more "Wrestling" than football in penalty area in every match. Players holding each other, pushing, hitting etc. Hopefully FIFA / UEFA will start punishing this kind of behavior with an indirect free kick or penalty. I agree with you on that
