Quite a few well known pop/rock acts playing around London during the rumored Twickenham timeframe. Big city, but might make it less likely The Stones will choose that week. Ed Sheeran Beach Boys Pearl Jam Billy Idol Lenny Kravitz Foo Fighters Yes Taylor Swift ???

QuoteRedRedRobin Dublin will be announced on Monday, February 5.Maybe more cities? Dublin for sure. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong,(and this crowd is never bashful at correcting people) but dates are rarely, if ever announced in ones and two's. They may add a few dates to a tour, but when they announce Croke and Twickwenham, they'll be announcing most of anticipated schedule

QuoteNate Quoteatip QuoteDeanGoodman Four months until show time. I wouldn't stress just yet, unless you are flying Alitalia and they finally go out of business. There will be (tens of) thousands of people in the same situation. If the worst really does come to the worst - which it won't - it is only a 4-hour walk between Lucca and Pisa. I didn't realize Alitalia is on the brink.

Quotestereomanic Hi, First time I've ever managed to get some Lucky Dip tickets for any Stones show (Paris 3rd date on my birthday - definitely lucky!). Everything was in French including the email I got with an attachment. Do I just show up to the Arena with a print out of the confirmation along with my ID and card I used to pay with? Will this be sign posted when I get there and w

Quotestones40 This applies even more to 70+ guys performing and we should treat this tour as most likely to be the last one. Man, how many years/tours have we been saying that??? At one point, I was sure I would outlast Keith. Now, maybe not.

QuoteStonesfan2146 Do some of you have experience with the Lucky Dip tickets? How big is the chance that the two tickets are not located next to each other? If they're reserved seats, they're always next to each other.

Quotegrzegorz67 QuoteSimonN Hi Gregor, Spot on! Re JB and his take on the 'My Generation' solo part...probably the worst that I've ever heard, hah-hah! I take zero pleasure in writing that, and he is in an impossible position for that. In the event it did not matter one iota, as the thrill comes from the segue into 'Cry If You Want' which is one of the few occasions

Quotewhitem8 It is great they are still playing and truly enjoying it! Well, actually, Pete may not. At the Birmingham show he said that he did not think what he did was particularly good, nor was it fulfilling. He said that the part he liked was knowing the crowd really liked it, that was good for his soul, and he pounded his chest. It wasn't good to hear, but there you go.

QuoteDeltics I don't know if it was their wettest gig ever but I love this shot from Porto Alegre, Brazil on March 2nd last year. Yes, that's a really cool pic, but I was at that show, and the pic makes it look heavier than it was.

QuoteThe Worst. Halifax 2006 Madrid 1982 I'll second that! Halifax was a hell of a storm. It held off for Kanye West and Alice Cooper, then the sky opened up for The Stones.

Quotejumpontopofmebaby QuoteDeanGoodman They were the best band at Desert Trip, by far. Attendance is mandatory. Funny how people see things different. I did the 2nd weekend and thought the Stones and Neil were about even and by far the 2 best acts. Dylan was Dylan and he was exactly as I expected. I truly thought The Who was easily the worst band there. I was in the pit and had a

Quotebv Also with the recent experiences from Las Vegas and Melbourne (Hanging Rock), and the large investments in each show this summer, crowds of 100,000 and 5 million Euro plus each, I would not be surprised if they add even more space than in the past between the shows. Just to make sure that Mick is getting enough time to rest his voice. In the 60's and early 70's they played tw

QuoteSpud My brother had a brief chat with one of the Stones' 'permanent' crew members this past weekend in London (passed by on the street). He (will not name him here) simply said 'pay off your credit cards' with a laugh. Something is up. Mine are paid off and I'm negotiating with my wife Good luck with that You can always get a new wife.

Out of town in Greenville, SC. There were a whopping 11 people in the theater. At least that's better than when they showed The Who @ Hyde Park. All of 3 for that one. The movie was interesting, but the volume was terrible. Used a decibel app on my iPhone to measure the level. Averaged mid-60's, which equates to "normal conversation". The only time it cracked 80dB was for

At 1st, I wasn't up for this because I'm not much of a festival guy... BUUUUUUUT,... I started weighing it out... Temps should be roughly, High 94F/34C; Low 65F/18C, with low humidity. A little toasty in the heat of the day, but not bad. Most festivals have some groups you wouldn't want to hear under ANY conditions, but there's not a crappy act in the lot for this festival
