QuoteStoneburst Quotelapaz62 I remember Taylor saying that the guitar he liked the most was that Strat he used with Mayall in 82, said it was lost or stolen in the early 90s somewhere in Miami. Was that definitely the white '68? The one with the maple neck and the big headstock? The Strat he used with Mayall is: I never noticed his pinky on the vol pot before. BTW, thanks

QuoteStoneburst I think he probably prefers the way Strats feel to the way they sound - he's had a number of them but the majority have had various aftermarket rail humbuckers (the two-tone sunburst one he played a lot in the 80s and 90s, the white '68 on the Mayall reunion DVD, and the non-Fender EMG thing he uses for No Expectations on his solo gigs). In interviews, he's said S

QuoteLieB surprisingly well and accurately written. ??? "Bitch” (__1917__): Ultimately the best rock bands are about teamwork, and here Taylor and Richards truly tag it up again, with Taylor laying in ___whip-crack punctuation and slicing__ notes, and Richards putting teeth in the __rhythm__ track. ??? It's curious that Taylor continues to use an LP when in various interviews h

Many thanks! Compared to the previous versions of Macau songs in your compilation, are these from newer You Tube videos or remastered versions of the previous ones?

Quotekleermaker I enjoyed hearing Taylor break out his 60s-feedback thing. With the Stones, this type of playing was usually limited to the end of some SFMs on the '72 tour. In the Shanghai show, the screen showed Wood soloing to begin Part 3 of Rambler. 1. Don't they usually show a graphic during that solo? 2. Anyone know why they often show the graphic instead of Wood at

Thanks for posting this. Wonderful to listen to. Adam Bomb released an album with MT playing on It's Only Rock 'n' Roll and a few other tunes. Nicky Hopkins was on some tracks as well.

Thanks for arranging this. Please address the following: --New tubes or old stock in the vintage Fender and Ampeg amplifiers on the 2014 tour? If new, what sort of "burn in" is used? --Compare the string action on the Gibsons used by Taylor, Richards (LPJ & ES) and Wood. Thanks!

Quote71Tele Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the first time Mick Taylor has sung in a Rolling Stones concert. Nice touch on Slipping Away. Videos show he sang on Satisfaction last year

Saw it in B&N tonight. Ends with 2008? Anyone know what the touring "audio/visual presentation" will be--performance with a Stone's guitar?

QuoteCristiano Radtke The same guy actually had those tapes, but he lost it. Had a bootleg tape of the Stones' show that has long since sadly gone missing! By Michael McNamara (31/01/2010) Since the open reel tapes were "traded around" perhaps a few inquiries in Brighton will locate one of the copies. Cap, might you know someone?

Article, pix and this: ... But there was another person who worked up in the lighting booth who did a very good sound recording of the show, and traded around a few 1/4 open reel copies with friends. I'd love to find a copy of THAT! Any leads, anyone? By Michael McNamara (25/05/2012) I seem to remember this was one of their concerts to promote Sticky Fingers. I specifically rememb

QuoteDoomandGloom Mathijs... Saying it's not MT on slide is a reach... Sounds like a different take of course but still sounds like Taylor to me. Here is something Taylor did on lap steel with Champion Jack Dupree in the 60s.
