Exactly liddas..... When I go to the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne (100,000 people), they have pre-game entertainment....and I can tell you, no matter how big the act is you never get excited about a band's performance. Most of the time you are eagerly awaiting the game and you're very nervous about how your team will go. It's always entertaining but not something that will ma

I can't believe some of you guys think Ronnie's solo during SMU was "one of his best in years" !!! Fair dinkum...if you think that is the case then he sure has been playing like a 3 year old kid for the past 10 years.... He got through SMU..just....better than most of the shows during the ABB tour so far...which isn't saying much! I admit he did seem sober...and

Just watched a reply then... Not too bad overall...thank god !! I was cringing at the opening chords of SMU thinking "this band could make themseleves look really silly if they f*ck this up..." but they did a good performance. If it wasn't for Mick this band would be in serious trouble. Keith & Ronnie should keep the guitar solos to a minimum, Ronnie got through the SMU so

the proof is right in front of your eyes... Look at the merchandise crap, the ticket prices, the continuing Tours.... I think the final say in all of this is where the Stones Tour. For instance, it seems unlikely the Stones will play many times in Australia (if at all)...why? Because it's too expensive !!! Wow, this band loves it's fans....they don't Tour because of money...

Mick is definately a better singer now than back in 1972, but it's too polished for mine.. However, there was no guy in the world who could put up a vocal performance as Jagger did in 72/73....amazing how that guy still had a voice after performing all those shows in consecutive days....brilliant. I'd much rather hear 1972 shows with Mick's voice as it was back then, to Mick&

the reason for him yelling "Paint It Black" could be because of the Get Yer Ya Ya's Out album ?? When the girls says "Paint it black you devils"....I'd say he could be joking due to this ??

The Brussels #1 show is "perfect" except for Stree Fighting Man. The Brussels #2 show is only available as a hissy incomplete soundboard (6 songs?) as mathijs has already stated. I have NEVER heard of an aud recording of this show. If you have it then please spread it around ! As for Auburn '69, this has never even been rumoured....but please keep us up-to-date! Esky

a soundboard from 1969 would be cool. From reading Stanley Booth's book they did play Auburn 1969. What would also be cool is footage from 1973 Aussie Tour....nice and colour!!!!!

the problem with the Brian Jones-era is that we rely on mostly audience recordings - and these are crap due to the crowd being screaming chicks and the music coming from speakers mounted on walls ! Was listening to a Jefferson Airplane soundboard boot from 1969 - wow ! Hopefully a Stones 1969 soundboard surfaces to sound like this show!!!
