People need to tell me what they hear in She Saw Me Coming, because all I hear is one cheesy riff played over and over and over again. For three minutes. With terrible lyrics. I can barely listen to the whole song (but am inflicting it upon myself as I type, just to be sure, and it still sucks).

Van Morrison would have been fantastic... How typical of him is it to leave like he did ? As for Chuck, he is a good man and obviously the only one pushing hard for the inclusion of new songs (however, he should stop playing the intro to Under My Thumb).

Mick T in' Guitare et claviers-no 198, july/august 1998 gave a straight answer to a journalist asking him what songs he'd really written (apart from Ventilator Blues) : Time Waits For No One, Sway, CYHMK, Moonlight Mile and Tops. That's it, and obviously it's entirely credible.

Am I the only one not to like She Was Hot? White, bland, FM rock to my ears. My vote for 'Song that should be kept unplayed'

If you're in NY, your best bet to score a ticket is probably just spend the night in front of the Beacon and hope for a few of them to go on sale. Only the Astoria didn' have any tix for sale on the day of the show on the last tour I think.

The version of Satisfation he uses is the cover by Devo I think (he may also use the Stones' one, can't remember).

The best news is that Scorsese and a crew of cameramen will supposedly be taping the shows (hopefully integrate the footage in a movie on the Stones?)... Please say this is real...

Only poster in the world complaining about the scrapping of IORR... Any Chuck Berry songs are of course welcome, but IORR had to go. Worst of the warhorses and a good call by the band.

Thanks to bv and lettingitbleed for their advice. Obviously they don't even realize it borders on the obscene for a number of us, but anyway... Maybe they'd be willing to pay me the trip?

I wasn't saying it in an agressive way, BTW. Just feels odd that you never adress anyone directly on a msg board.

No it isn't. As for myself, I went to one fantastic show this summer in Paris (after two fairly disappointing ones at Fenway in 2005) and am eagerly awaiting the official annoucement for 2007. That doesn't mean I can't at least discuss the band's choices.

Bjornulf, one of the main points escapes you : the fact that we do go to concerts and do pay the absurd ticket prices gives us a right to complain. And if a stadium isn't full, it just ain't, and that's not an opinion. Also, why do you always refuse to answer questions directly? Very annoying...

'What really gets me about the set list supporters is that,if you believe what they say,any set list the Stones play is infallible no matter what.If they make a new set list,I'm sure that will be beyond reproach as well.15 songs,25 songs - the same songs, different songs,it doesn't matter, nothing matters.'==>True, and 'nothing matters' because the reasoning is that

Just came across the Uncut 'top 40 Stones songs' issue. Mick and Ronnie are asked to give their 10 favorites : Mick's list goes :Gimme Shelter/Wild Horses/YCAGWYW/SFTD/Rambler/HTW/Out Of Control/SWAY/Undercover/Miss You. A number of these songs have been played either sporadically or not at all. I suggest that Mick do himself a favour. As for Ronnie's list, it includes Sister

'I still haven't had a response by anyone about the five stinkers Dylan came out with since 1980.' The response is that the masterpieces (sic) he's put out since completely eclipse his 'stinkers'. To put it in stats, having one 1* album and one 5* album is not the same thing as having two 3* albums (gitit?). And to get back on topic, I love Modern Times, favorite

Frank, I'm not going to spend time arguing as you obviously don't know crap about Prince, my point was that the answer to 'Has he done all those things? No I didn't think so' is a resounding YES. (please go to allmusic.com for further confirmation. Better yet, listen to Prince (whom I never stated to be better than either the Stones or Dylan BTW))
