Ruby Tuesday, 13 August 1990, East-Berlin. I stood in front of the stage with my former best friend. We had figured out how it would be together at a Stones concert while the band was playing RT. We lived in the former GDR, and that meant no Stones. Then the wall came down and several months later we were there. Together. And the boys play Ruby Tuesday. I'll never forget this moment.

My suggestion: stay home, drink tea with milk, have a warm bath, go to bed at 8 p.m. and be just careful of yourself.

The Stones had a really good time in 1971/72, starting with their settling in France, recording of Exile and finally, the US tour in 1972. They were at the top of their carreer. But they didn't return to France (as far as the Micks and Keith were concerned), but went to Jamaica to record GHS. Jamaica wasN#t the best place for musicians in those days, except for Keith. I was at Keith's concert in Cologne in 1992, and Sarah Dash sang "Time Is On my Side". It was absolutely unbelievable ... what a voice!

No, that's not true. During the Hannover concert in 2003 they played 18 songs, even though MR and YCAGWYW were among them. There was not a single suprise, only warhorses. I know what I'm talking about.

Charlie's heroin problem began in 1985 and lasted a year. It's right, that he was heavily drinking in those days. It's not clear if his private problems with his wife and family were the reason for drinking, or if they occurred because he was drinking ... He once said that it was a crucial experience for him and that he's always been ashamed of being drunk during his father

The Stones are doing what they've always been done. They start with two encores and after a while they drop one. Next step: reducing the song selection from some 20 songs down to 19 or even 18. Set lists in America are always much more preferrable than later in Asia and Europe. Finally, the only will play the warhorses and that's it. It's sad but ...

I think it's great. Far better than the Paris concerts a year later. In 1976 Mick looked outstanding, but the performance is lame.

On "Promotional Album" are songs from 1964 /e.g. Confessin' The Blues) to 1968 (e.g. Prodigal Son). It was meant to be delivered tp radio stations to give an overview about the first five years (of recording) of the Stones' music. But it hardly arrived there and got precious in those days.
