QuoteDandelionPowderman Yesterday I got the test pressings of my band's album (it took forever making this, but that's a long story). One of the pre-requisites was that the album shouldn't be longer than 40 minutes (to obtain the best sound quality). My album was 44 minutes, but after listening to it several times, there is no lack in quality, luckily. The way to notice it, seeming

QuoteWorriedAboutYou Good bass player, but their songs always sound like five different songs being played at the same time, and no one knows what the other members are doing. The keyboards make them sound really dated and the vocals are excruciating. Horrible lyrics too. I agree in some parts but disagree in others: Agree: - The bassplayer was in a way the one that gave Yes their special

Quotejbwelda FZ distanced himself from J&Y after that mess and got really pissed off that they credited his song (King Kong) as their own on their record. Sued them and got some relief. There are some stories published about Zappa's general disgust with his encounter with royalty. jb Yes, Frank tells about it in this interview, 10 minutes in:

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteThommie I'm sure Keith wrote most of the songs in the 60's and 70's. But how detailed is a song written, especially by Keith who often points out that he brings more of skeletons of songs to the studio? After that a lots of bands from the 60's broke up a new generation of bands appeared. Many of them were fantastic but, as usual, it's hard to stay on top level over time. Wishbone Ash are another example.
