Quotetatters I have to admit, the foreign-language vocal (mixed unnecessarily loud, btw) throws me a bit, but it's not the first time a Floyd record has featured unconventional vocals. "Have a Cigar" features a guest lead vocalist (Roy Harper) who was not a member of the band, while the "voice" of Stephen Hawking features prominently on 1994's "Keep Talking.&quo

And and usual, you aren't guaranteed a specific brand, you can get a similiar one. At least at websites of this type.

Quotejackflash27 Popularity in Sweden for the Stones is a bit low it seems. Given the facts that it’s the last show of the tour and the “low” ticket prices, I expected ticket sales would go a lot faster. Anyway: it’s the only show for me this tour. First time in Stockholm / Sweden also, so really looking forward to this one. I don't think you can say that the popularity is low due to slo

Ten rumoured shows on bv's list so far. Except for UK the rumoured cities are strongly overbalanced to southern Europe. With Amsterdam being the absolutely most northward one. Then Paris, Munich and Vienna. A sign? Or are possible cities in northern Europe just still well kept secrets?

Quotetreaclefingers To be fair... Stones solo albums really only started coming after they jumped the shark in the mid 80s - and let's leave Ronnie out of this. So comparing Apples (fallen though they may be) to Stones albums may be the better way to look at it, at least through the 70s and compare Stones solo albums to albums by McCartney and Harrison released AFTER 1984. In that c

Quotebv QuoteStoneage To be fair: They are not 75 percent Stones without Charlie. 60 percent rather. - 25% with Brian Jones left in 1969 - 25% with Mick Taylor left in 1974 - 25% with Bill Wyman left in 1993 - 25% with Charlie not able to tour now I don't agree on these mathematics. The Rolling Stones are a synergy of Mick, Keith, Ronnie, Charlie, the very important supporting musici

I'm surprised how low ranked Let it Loose is, both at Far Out and the posters above. Exile seem to have something for every fan, even if we don't share taste and opinions. My first third part of the album: Rocks Off Let it Loose Loving Cup Sweet Virginia All Down the Line Shine a Light

QuoteHairball John and Brian knew each other and were in cahoots, and the two came up with a plan to dominate the world. One cold foggy night in Liverpool (or maybe it was in London), they hatched their plan after a long night of drinking at the pub. Each would form their own band, but first they flipped a coin to see who would get what band name - John won and picked the Beatles. It was the

QuoteSend It To me The lyrics about someone being passed by time and being out of touch are probably not something Mick wants to sing at his age. Same reason we'll never get Mother's Little Helper. You got a point there!

I think Out of Time could be a crowd pleaser. It’s easy to learn even it you haven’t heard it before due to its repeating form, the chorus is a singalong. And I don’t understand the the reasoning about OOT and As Tears Going By versions by other artists. The casual show goer associate Beast of Burden as much with Bette Midler than the Rolling Stones maybe? And what about all the covers? But the

Sad news indeed. Very productive through the years and loads of musicians have been kinda educated by him. In fact I listened to the entire album Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy as late as yesterday. Still fantastic! Stones/Barbarians connection through the bass player Stanley Clarke!

QuoteDandelionPowderman Yesterday I got the test pressings of my band's album (it took forever making this, but that's a long story). One of the pre-requisites was that the album shouldn't be longer than 40 minutes (to obtain the best sound quality). My album was 44 minutes, but after listening to it several times, there is no lack in quality, luckily. The way to notice it, seeming
