My dream set-list.. (I'll try to be kinda realistic) - Not Fade Away - Start me Up - Star Star - Off the Hook - Tumbling Dice - Dead Flowers - Moonlight Mile - Under my Thumb - Ruby Tuesday - Little T & A - You got the Silver - Sympathy for the Devil (With Mick Taylor) - Midnight Rambler (with Mick Taylor) - Emotional Rescue - Almost Hear You Sigh - Paint it Black - Br

Depends on the setlist and the venue. If it were a club-show or a rather small Arena show (20.000 approx) with a a-typical setlist, I'd go for that. If it's a ticket for a warhorse-filled stadium show, then it's a Mono boxset for me baby!

Wait, whut? My lips won't wait? Start me up is one of the few Stones songs I like them to re-record. It's a great, iconic rock tune, but the studio version is kinda weak compared to the rock song it is live. It needs louder guitars and more energy.

Seems to me that Abkco would have made an announcement if this were true. You're not going to release something this big, out of the blue without any marketing.

I wonder if Living in a Ghost Town will still be included on the new album. It's been 2.5 year since it's release... I'm not expecting much, that way I won't be too disappointed either. Just some nice tunes, maybe a coversong and I wonder how much Charlie is on there..

Born in 1979, I started to discover the Stones backcatalogue in the late eighties via the first wave of London CD's. The booklet that came with the CDs contained an overview of all available albums in the series and for many years I thought that their second album was titled '12x5' and 'no2' was a bootleg or a compilation album . I own all of the SACD's and it's

More hot rocks is more a b-sides and rarity album than a Greatest Hits album in my opinion. Sure, it contains hits like It's All Over now, The Last Time and She's a Rainbow. But the majority consists of songs like Bye Bye Johnny, Money, Poison Ivy, Long Long While and Fortune Teller... If I remember correctly, the true successor to Hot Rocks was supposed to be an album called Necroph

Haha, yeah I know many people dislike Dirty Work en have some love for BtB. I liked it when it came out. But nowadays, I hardly listen to it anymore. And when I do, I skip half of it. Already over me, Always Suffering... Give me Back to Zero, Too Rude or Had it with you, baby!

Mediocre album. bad production. A song like Flip the Switch or Gunface would have sound so much better with a different producer. It sounds so..shallow.. But Might as well get juiced on the other hand is way over-produced.. I like Saint of Me, You don't have to mean it, Thief in the night and Flip the Switch, but the rest...meh. Probably a unpopulair opinion, but I prefer Dirty Work

Quote24FPS I saw them in '69. And I've seen the complete Woodstock set. CCR was great. The problem is that there's no ad libbing, no spontaneity. They played note perfect sets that delivered the songs exactly like the albums. If you've seen the once, you've seen them. That sums it up nicely. I've heard a couple of their live recordings and although I really love CC

Quotehockenheim95You can find 5 Songs as bonus tracks on VL Uncut Blu Ray. In my opinion the old VHS/Grey Market DVD is worth the price alone for the intro where a roadie wakes up in a motel next to a Lady who believes he is Ronnie Wood! Haha yeah, that was a nice intro.. "Ronnie??? I thought you WERE Ronnie!". I bought that New Jersey VHS at the Landgraaf gig in juni 1995. too bad th

Quotehockenheim95 Voodoo Lounge has 5 complete shows released in the last years! - 3 Club shows on Totally Stripped - VL Uncut (Miami) - Voodoo Lounge Japan (Japan Only release) And then there's the official video they sold on the European shows from New Jersey (90 min)! so 6 releases from one tour! That's the best documented tour when it comes to official releases. I don

I think the Voodoo Lounge tour needs more love. There's only one (vault) release from that tour (Miami) and that one was already released on VHS/DVD back in the 90's.. - 81-82 Tour (Still Life, Roundhay Park, Hampton Coliseum, Wembley 82, Let's spend the night movie) - Steel Wheels Tour (Flashpoint, Atlantic City, Live at the Max, Tokyo Dome) - Bridges to Babylon (No Securty,

I wonder if ABKCO comes up with something more than just that single boxset for their 60th anniversary. I would love another vinyl boxset of their 60's catalogue. The in Mono one is out of production (and far too expensive). As for Universal/Eagle Rock.. I wonder how well the last New York show was received. I skipped it, and I'm not that interested in another 90's or 00's

If it hadn't been a wyman song, 99% of stones fans would probably have thought it was awefull. Because that's what it is I own Stone Alone and Monkey Grip and the latter has a few nice tunes, but the majority… My goodness… The guy can play bass like a boss, but he can't sing and also can't write. i mean.. Nominated for worst OP in years My 2 cents. Gimme Some Neck and IGMOATD are pretty good albums. Slide on This has some good tunes on it. But they're nowhere near Wandering Spirit or Main Offender.

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quotebv QuoteVoodooLounge13 Bill’s been more prolific than our boys!!! I don't think he is performing in front of 3/4 of a million people every year. True but I was talking about studio releases. New music. ...and not blues cover!! I wouldn't be so sure. The latest Wyman studio albums were full of (blues) covers.

It's also my birthday. I live in the Netherlands and it was late in the afternoon when the news got out. My girlfriend accompanied her 90 year old grandma to her taxi and on the way back to the house she checked her phone and scrolled through the headlines. She didn't take a house-key with her, so she rang our doorbell. When I opened the door, she asked me: "Did you hear about Char

With all background singers, horns and keyboards, it sounds ok, but when you filter that and only would listen to Keith, Ronnie, Mick and the rhythym section.. half of the songs would fall apart. And to me, that's embarrasing. But hey, it's only my personal opinion...

QuoteIrix There's a general saying for older artists: "You should stop before it looks embarrassing." But the Stones are currently far away from that. That's probably because you're looking at it through rose-tinted glasses. Keith and Ronnie's playing often ís embarrassing. Purely because you are a fan and because you know that they are 80 years old, you condon

QuoteBig Al Mick Taylor is 73-year-old pensioner. He isn’t Mick Jagger. I suspect he’s near-fully retired and just living-out his finds years in peace. Whilst it’ll forever be a joy to look back and appreciate his career, that was very much yesterday. He probably noodles casually on his guitar, whilst pottering around. In the summer, he may sit in his garden; if he has one. Good for him. Yes he
