QuoteTIRED Thank-you for uploading these files. How does one get access to such high quality alternate mixes? Most of these came from the ABKCO YouTube Copyright dump from the end of last year. I had no idea "Sympathy" had its vocals re-done until I heard it on a new bootleg from DOG n CAT Records that came out this past year. I took the tracks into Audacity and did a bit of playi

Made a little compilation of the original mixes for GET YER YA YA'S OUT that includes every song with their original vocals (except for Love In Vain and Midnight Rambler which were left alone). Midnight Rambler has its full harmonica intro edited out on the final album. Stray Cat Blues is not circulating with its original vocal so I kept it in for completion purposes, although this edit I in

I don't think it's the worst Mick haircut but certainly not the best. I personally think the best Mick haircut era was from 1969-1971

I've been very much looking into building a compilation of the original soundboard recordings from MSG 1969 during the pandemic so I found this thread if it's okay to rehash it from the dead. So far this is the information I have about the sources from Get Yer Ya Yas Out: Jumpin' Jack Flash (MSG 11/27) Carol (11/28, 1st Show) Stray Cat Blues (Baltimore 11/26 and/or MSG 11/28

I believe this bootleg was posted here before but can't find it anymore. It doesn't have a title but it's from the 1969 tour. Here's the link to it: Thank you!!

Quoterebelhipi I was reading some reviews from early 1999 shows. A cage onstage during Out Of Control was mentioned a few time. Does anyone have a picture of it? If you watch the Tip of the Tongue documentary from the Four Flicks video (was up on YouTube but taken down), somewhere early on Mick talks about the stage designs they've had over years where he then says the new tour (Licks

Quotestonesstein As such "Coming Down Again" is the key song to all that GOATS HEAD SOUP embodies. This is a GREAT statement. CDA is the backbone of GOATS HEAD SOUP.

Great album that brought the Stones full circle. Haven't played it in its entirety in a few months but I'll give it a full spin again tomorrow.

I could be mistaken but I don't recall there being a lot promotion behind the SOME GIRLS reissue back in 2011. At least definitely not as much as EXILE the year before, that had the release of "Stones In Exile," a week of EXILE stuff on Jimmy Fallon, "Plundered My Soul." STICKY FINGERS had the tour to promote alongside the reissue. GOATS had a lot of promotion with "

I quite like the original. You can't hear a bloody thing Mick says but that's what makes it great. I can make out a few lines in the song. One being, "I'm gonna make another record while I can." There's a pic circulating of the SOME GIRLS session logs that lists a song called "Last Record Blues." That might very well be the original title of "Keep Up B

If critics were to hear this demo when GHS came out, they wouldn't be saying that the Stones were becoming lazy by any standard. This was the real first "mature" Stones album. Hell, even one your parents would have dug at the time.

Quotespsimmons I had the same thought that it might be 2020 Mick. Maybe a 1972 piano track, but possibly new vocals. There are a few things that kind of sound like new Mick. But, as MisterDDDD said, it is pretty cool that there is discussion on Mick's voice. It shows he can put on his classic voice if he wants and that we actually have to listen close to some of these songs to try to pi

Nah it's definitely Mick from the '72 era. Why would he add new vocals to a demo? Anyway this an absolute gem from the reissue. My favorite bonus track. He sings this demo with even more heart than the finished version.
