Anyone have more info about this gig? Seemed so weird and atypical in the tour schedule i saw. I had to Google Ridgedale. It’s that venue near Branson, MO, that is associated with Bass Pro Shops founder. Garth Brooks played

QuoteTumblinDice76 Damn Snoopy,The Shoals Theater, Enjoy! Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, and Jason Isbell released really good double live cd recorded at the Shoals Theater. Ya a solid album, good venue too, intimate.. As far as Mr. Leavell of course I'll ask about the album & tour, and of course I won't get any inside info but will try

QuoteGazza QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteBashlets At the time fans and critics were not pleased it was mostly SG especially for the big stadium shows. Rolling Stone magazine at the time was brutal That's ridiculous! Even back then, damn those Stones for playing 8 new songs! They toned it down for 1981 and only played 6 new songs (on average) and only 4 SG songs - and only 1 ER song. You kn

Quotebv Starting a thread about why the old days were better would be more natural. Haaaaa, this got me laughing. And then I wondered, "Why hasn't anyone started such a thread?!" I'm not one to start the thread tho, cuz as much as I miss certain things, they happened, they're gone, I enjoyed them and we've moved on.. Living in the past leads to depression, livin

QuoteDeanGoodman The Times wrote a big piece about Mick's hat. We've come a long way from "Who Breaks a Butterfly on a Wheel?" Are you a dilf like Mick Jagger? At an Arsenal match over the weekend, the 79-year-old Mick Jagger, father of eight, grandad to six and a great-grandfather to three, wore a cap declaring his alternative identity as “DILF”. The acronym stands fo

Looking forward to this. Two of his guitarists/band members live here in the Shoals (Travis Wammack, Kelvin Holly), would be cool to see this shown here in town.

"It's OK not to have written Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground...You just have to be the best version of you." Timeless advice for musicians, artists, writers etc.. So many expend effort early on mimicking our cultural heroes until the light-bulb goes off and one realizes what they have to offer the world is who they uniquely are

When I first got turned onto the Stones they were “it” and Brian was the lynchpin in our minds.. As time (and the internet) moved forward we learned more about stuff we really didn’t care to know about, but it was, and remains, the music and swagger of those earlier days

QuoteBFR Quotesnoopy2 As much as I know Birmingham won't be a stop, I also wouldn't be surprised if it was, and I'd be somewhat psyched) I would love to see them play in B'ham. Legacy Arena only holds ~19,000 for a concert. Legion Field does not host concerts anymore. Protective Life Stadium holds 47,000 and would be the most likely venue if The Stones roll through here.
