QuoteTestify This is a tribute album to C. Berry, no desire to be "superior" to the original, but just a lot of fun! Music is not a competition, but it is also nice to listen to alternative versions, especially when they are played by artists who owe everything to these great masters of rock'n roll and blues. Precisely

Just to be clear, the idea for the shows came from Ben talking to Ronnie and Sally in Prague last year. Thought it would be a fun way to pay homage to Chuck, which it was and anyone who went to any one of the 3 shows would testify to that. The album and new shows are the 1st in a line of upcoming opportunities to enjoy Ronnie enjoying himself. What's the problem with that ?

Plus Amy Mayes and Denise Gordon backing vocals. Tom was there for the recording as well as Antti Snellmann on sax. The thing is though, I have Lucky Dips for a friend and I, and his friend already has Pit and wants to line up early....in the HOT sun! Tried to convince them otherwise, but she's hellbent on bei

QuoteRocky Dijon Nico had this info back in May. I thought it was a various artists Chuck Berry tribute and Ronnie and Imelda May were doing "Mad Lad" for it. Interesting. Thanks for clarifying, roundnround. Not forgetting that the driver behind the whole thing is Ben Waters.

Quotejlowe Will be interesting to see if Ronnie does some gigs to coincide with the record release date. Would be good PR. This assumes he and the record label want some healthy sales...or is Ronnie just doing it for fun? Wait and see...........

QuoteMisterDDDD Seems a little earlier than usual for full rehearsals to me although I haven't done the quick research to confirm. Sasha, as noted here earlier, was in route yesterday to London.. Last week it was the core band, this week full band already with still 19 days to go until opening night. Bodes well I think. Still believe we may hear a surprise or two on this leg. *edi
