QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Quoteycagwywpmdatm I am coming down on the side of the wedding. It would be probably be a cheaper day out...A different Set List would be a nice change. If they’re going to be in the neighbourhood, they might as well play at the reception. Would solve the problem. And if you need a +1 I have a dress... Love your thinking here STG.......sounds like we have a plan in the maki

Interesting that clapton can announce shows nine months in advance with no 'Insurance issues'. I take it that you are expecting an invite to the wedding !!! bit of a dilemma Royal

Quote35love QuoteRockman .... You can make it if you try .... You’re giving me that glimmer of hope... *kiss kiss Rockman, thanks- Just build on that glimmer of hope I think it took longer to arrange the childcare for my last trip than to arrange the trip itself, but we did it, it happened. And no regrets

Quotebv If you go to a Stones show nearby these days then it may be your last Stones show ever, unless you are prepared to travel. Then a question for those who did travel to see another show recently: Do you regret it? Personally by answer is simple: No, no regrets at all. 1st concert 1965. Walked to venue, under a mile. Paid for ticket out of pocket money. Last concert 2016. taxi, l

Nevertheless, I will continue to love British Stones fans. They were at the cradle when the band was born and helped them GROW! Thanks for that ! So true! Thanks for your kind sentiments here, much appreciated

Hi, I'm newish here, apologies if I have broken any etiquette rules by not posting an intro until now. I have read rules re no politics/religion/personal agendas/good manners and conclude that they are stretched a little sometimes. I have never posted on an online forum before, life gets more exciting by the minute doesn't it? I grew up about 15 miles from Dartford, (you may have hea

As a new user I have found this thread very interesting. Re the Login problems, I tried for ages to login as a new user. Eventually I stumbled across the bv post of August 2016 referred to in this thread, advising of login problems. In desperation I emailed bv asking if these would be resolved any time soon? To my delight he sent me the login details I now use. I don't think many people

Quotewonderboy Quotegeordiestone [/quote This is just a good outlet. None of my friends know the depth of my interest and knowledge about the Stones and this is a good place to post and read what others say. In other words, keep posting. It contributes to the discussions. There have been times when I have wondered if I was the only Stones fan in the world, but I never could work out their re

QuoteGasLightStreet Charlie said this in 2010: Well, it's always been "next year" - it's been like that for two years. We'll go on the road when Keith's bored, when his book's out of the way and he's bored, and Ronnie's bored. At the moment, they're both not bored. Bored enough, I mean. So I think that will happen. How long and how we do it will b

QuoteHairball Quoteycagwywpmd I waited 50 years for Blue and Lonesome. Proving that patience is a virtue. 50 years for an album of blues covers? That is dedication, but you could have just listened to all the originals! The Stones introduced me to the Blues, for which I am eternally grateful. Quote Keith: when we started playing in London in 1962 we started off with Chicago Blues. If you

Loved watching this, til it jammed up outside the court. So evocative of the 60's in England. I often think back and wonder how we found this stuff out without the internet, but we always knew their 'feuding' was all a put up job by the press. Nothing much changes does it?

Quoteflilflam Imagine this. You are craving to hear some great rock music, but your favorite band, the Stones, is taking a break in touring. Assuming that that your second favorite band were touring somewhat near your home, what group or act would that be? That is easy for me to answer. I saw the Eagles a few weeks ago, and they were better than ever. Deacon Frey was great, as was Vince G

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteMonsoon Ragoon Why should they play festivals? They get much more bucks for own shows I guess, compared with appearances at festivals that are sold out before they get booked. 2013 was different as there wasn't a real UK tour. I think they get what they want from festivals as well. It was rumoured they lost money at Glastonbury as they altered the Pyramid Sta

It's full of cafe's, b&b's , arcade's, poundshops, gambling shops & Wetherspoons pubs.....and these are just the 'legal' establishments. It's the archetypal run down , once proud town. A victim

You can't compare THOUSANDS of miles travelling in Australia to getting around the UK. Australia has over 7m sq km, 24m people, to UK well under 1/2m sq km, 65m people!! So I can assure you that if we all trek to the '5 - 6 Wembley shows over a couple weekends' as you suggest, with the atrocious logistics of the place (6 hours to exit the car park?) the infrastructure of the countr
