QuoteStoneage Yep, to exaggerate or speculate is one thing but to conceal or diminish isn't much better. I think facts are quite clear here. Not one hundred percent but pretty close. You don't even need Ockham's razor... Nicely put Stoneage (even though I had to look up the Ockham's razor thingy) Life is short Good to keep learning though

Quote35love I see a LOT of generalizing in your post ycagwyw. Are you speaking solely of Bill’s marriage to Mandy? No way am I defending it, but from her, he waited and then married her at 18. All the RS were there, her parents, whatever. As for all the rest, you are generalizing about ‘all the young girls.’ Yes, it makes me vomit, predatory child sexual abuse. I say, be very care

It would be so easy to come here and talk about BW the musician. I could just say: loved Bill with the Stones, great bass player, loved the Stones since he left too, blah blah blah, might make me boring with no real depth of musical knowledge, but I know what I like. Saw Bill few years back with Rythym Kings, small London venue, great evening. Biggest cheer of the evening, when they covered a S

Yes yes, pleased to see you have been paying attention. Had a pub lunch last week, delicious 'homemade burger' (does that make it 'American style'?) Going again tomorrow, was looking forward to fish and chips, now thinki

When the doors open At Hyde Park, queued at gates for an hour before they opened, from mid-day, that got us about 2/3 down the walkway about 5' from it, excellent spot. Some people have asked for recommendations or ideas for places to visit/sightseeing as they will be here for some holiday time too. So just to say, try and visit a castle or two, or more. There are so many I think we barely notice them and take these beautiful places for granted, eg, between London and the coast at Dover, try Leeds, Sissinghurst, Rochester, Hever Castles to name but a few. You wo

Quoteslewan QuoteGAFF Quotejohn lomax No, British food is great - plenty of great pubs with excellent Briiish food. If you are in the UK on Sunday you need to find a good pub, have some proper English, Scottish, Welsh or irish beer, and a Sunday roast. Now that sounds like an excellent plan! go to a drugstore or pharmacy first – they sell everything you will need (plus much more that is avai

I agree with what lots of you are saying, eg, I go To see Ronnies shoes I just wanna hear live Stones music The experience, the performance, the setlist (?) But most of all I agree with BV, and wanna thank you so much for reminding me how young and beautiful I am, I'll have a big smile on my face from now till showtime But the real reason I go, is this could be The Last Time, and I d

Speaking as an 'average' fan, I think it's all relative. I paid £95 for GA at Hyde Park 2013, now got tickets for £130 ea, but seated, for first London stadium show. So, better tickets, 5 years on, a bit more expensive. But this compares quite favourably to a top London theatre ticket, or a good Wimbledon ticket (if I could even get one). Yeah, my first ticket in'66 was £

QuoteRollin92 QuoteErwinH NO WONDER ! NO WONDER! Mick can run the equivalent of 12 miles at each Stones live show - right back at Elementary School he broke the half-mile record and continues to run to this day. Elementary School? Surely they mean Primary School Primary School? Surely they mean Infants or Junior School?

Its not great. Its actually fantastic. It's definitely a brilliant venue, the best in London imo, especially since they finished the refurb with the mushrooms.... But sadly ca

QuoteTooTough That book is a piece of shit. I sold it after having read 100 pages. Hmmmm....... Seems strange to me to make such a sweeping statement about a book, seeing as how you barely scratched the surface of the contents..... Not the best book I ever read, but I struggled through to the end, probably more out of a sense of duty as a Stones fan. But so much has been written, I think I wa

QuoteDartfordRenegade QuoteAdrian-L London gigs in Twickenham & Dartford would be appropriate at this juncture. Well a show in Dartford would be nice and long overdue as they have never played here except maybe as Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys Len Goodman School of Dancing maybe? And isn't there a nice little hall just opposite Dartford Grammar School? Or Mick Jagger Centre in

Quoteryanpow Interesting Jim Morrison comparison. Related to that, sound-wise, the R N R version of Parachute Woman has always sounded Doors-esque to me. The Stone's set is underrated. As a performer, Mick Jagger may have felt insecure about it and thought that the Who blew them off the stage, but as an observer I think their part holds up just fine. I've seen The Who and The Ston
