Quotetomcasagranda QuoteJumpinJimF Miles Runs The Voodoo Down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_RdIoHNXLA Great choice. I went for a run last night with Right Off from Jack Johnson in the headphones. I must be a rare breed, as I love both Tutu, Aura, and the Montreaux live stuff from the 80s, plus the Hot Spot OST which is Miles meeting John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, and Jack Nitzsche all in

QuoteDoxa That would be a nice addition to my Christmas album collection. I have only one so far, Dylan's (plus one single, quess by who). I will pass Clapton's, sorry Eric. Bob's "Must be Santa" is a Christmas classic in my house. - Doxa Well Bob's Christmas album made us all laugh when I played it last December. Not necessarily for the right reasons though

Quotemidnrambler I just found out that my "Life" book has totally yellowed. Is this a good or a bad sign? Same happened to my Kindle version as well. Weird.

I'd be more likely to buy a train themed compilation album than a dreadful Christmas one (see the other thread). For instance the songs mentioned above, plus some good covers - The Train Kept A Rolling, Stop That Train, Train in Vain etc.

Quotepeoplewitheyes That poster campaign is a pathetic way to court controversy, and surely one of the ultimate lows for the Stones Agreed. I suspect it put me off listening to the album for ages. And of course the album has nothing to do with the poster theme.

QuoteHairball QuoteCristiano Radtke Time Song: Oh yes, nice - thanks Cristiano. Something very unique about Ray's songwriting, and this song is no exception. There's a nursery rhyme like quality to this tune, yet it's lyrically poignant at the same time. Reminds me of some of the lyrics Roger Waters wrote for the Pink Floyd track Time. "And then one day you find te

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteStoneage On the other Stones forum they call their similar thread "I don't care what you are listening to right now". I'm afraid they are right. You want to share what you are listening to with others. But the harsh reality is that few cares about that. Instead they are posting their own favourites. That no one listens to either... You won'

QuoteCristiano Radtke This looks like a very nice box set. For those who might be interested, I created a playlist on Spotify with the tracks listed above. I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate, but at least it makes a nice blues compilation. Thanks! Just saved it.

QuoteGreen Lady They played in the Big Top at the Isle of Wight festival last month, and chose to perform S F Sorrow (personally I'd have liked to hear more recent stuff or some of their wonderful acoustic blues, but you can't always get what you want, and it was a good performance.) Phil May needs to remain seated throughout the show these days, so I guess that has something to do with

Quotetomcasagranda Blood On The Tracks is one of the best ever Dylan albums, if not the best ever Dylan album; every track, dare I say it, is a winner. You don't even have that with the mid 60s stuff, i.e Bringing It All Back Home through to Blonde On Blonde. Well said
