QuoteDandelionPowderman I bumped into Edward Twining on a RS Facebook forum. Told him he was missed here, but he didn't reply. Funny now you mention him. I was reading a couple of his posts last week via the search option. 6 Years ago he sent his last message here. Good to read he still alive and kicking.

Things in Holland are going incredibly slow. 17.000.000 inhabitants, less then 200.000 vaccines available.

QuoteDoxa For example, there was a time BV needed to to make measures to cool down Taylor/Wood-debates... Now that issue doesn't seem to interest anyone (be it good or bad...) - Doxa I rest my case. 61 years First record:Yaya's Concert: Rotterdam '73.

Here another quote coming from Slash, and damn, I agree with him. “The thing with the Stones is the Stones have such an ensemble sound that a lot of the times you don’t really differentiate between Keith and who’s playing lead guitar. You just sort of listen to the Stones as a whole.” “But the period that Mick Taylor was in the band, as far as lead guitar was concerned, that was my favori

QuoteNorbert Quite right, in a way it's always the same known recordings...there's got to be more in the cans...I'll get it anyway...love me some nice coloured vinyl! Is Carla Olson approachable on this subject? Mick Taylor definitely not.

QuoteGS1978 Didn't know the Stones were Slash's favorite band. Thx for sharing. Slash stated that Mick Taylor was one of his favourite guitarists. You can hear it every now and then.

QuoteRocknroll1969 Trumps false election claims tried to disengage black voters. This is the audio from the phone call he made to the Georgia Secretary of State. I almost cannot believe my ears. The ship is sinking and the captain commands the crew to hoist the sails.

QuoteDandelionPowderman For me, there's a notable difference between them - mainly in how they use their right hand. I notice some similarities as well. Great guitar team, to me the best the Stones ever had.

To my ears, yes. Good enough to be Taylor on Bitch. Or Morning Story, Gothenburg '75,almost heavy metal. The loose A string on Bitch doesn't make the difference. Let me put it this way, and then I stop on this subject: There are live tracks (Ya ya's and Brussels) where you hardly hear the difference between Keith and Taylor at moments when they play the same rhythm . Why not on Bit

Gimme Shelter Philly 1972 is a better example, Taylors counterpart during the verses. Timing almost ahead of Charlie, almost same scratch sound and driving the song in an aggressive way. There are more examples if you search the internet, even besides the Stones.

You don't consider the riff an important part of Bitch? I agree on Keith being a driving force, though not as important as Keith's sheer power on this tun

Quotebv Many countries with one party systems are doing great related to the pandemic, avoiding many deaths and infections. Then still, Australia, New Zealand, Japan have more than one party, they are doing great too. Norway have more than ten parties, still we are doing better than countries with two party systems. Same with the other Nordic countries. I think it is more to this than politics.

Quotebv Vietnam is a country of 96 million people, i.e. roughly 1/3 of the population in USA. Still, they have just 35 deaths from covid-19, the last death back in early September. Selective lock down and test trace makes it easier to keep the country and economy healthy. Also, keeping politics away from the pandemic works helps a lot. Vietnam having a one party system basically works very wel

Holland is a small country with a population of +- 17000.000 people. When you watch the the supermarkets from outside you get dizzy.Yesterday I had to go back twice because going inside is asking for trouble. 1,5 meter distance is something people seem to ignore completely. Quite frustrating actually. When things continue like this it will be at least April before we get out of this stifling tot
