They could do 10 shows this fall, maybe adding some arenas...then come back next spring, start in April like was the plan in 2019. Start with Tampa and do another 10 gigs. Save Vancouver for 2022 and maybe with the border situation hopefully back to a new normal, add in shows in T.O. and Montreal. 20 gigs in 2 legs in North America, cover most all the 14 postponements plus a few arena shows i

North America deserves some Dancing with Mr. D love, too, after they pulled it out in Europe in 2017... I still love the version from Zurich on YT... And, no, I'm not trying to start the bitching about setlists vibe!! I figure if I can get one special number a show, it's worth it to me! And Hairball, I concur on the money shot, Midnight Rambler... worth the price of admission ri

They could do a mini-set... bring out some stools, and unleash Country Honk, Lady Jane, Sweet Virginia et al... slow it down and all of 'em could take a little breather mid-show. I've wondered since the PPV Miami gig in '94 why they didn't go this route, but I do love the B-stage concept. After the country flair at the Nashville gig in 2015, with Brad Paisley opening and h

Austin still has a major concert to be announced for F1 weekend Friday, October 22nd... the Piano Man Billy Joel is set for the 23rd. Would The Stones tie-in with F1 for that gig? Lotsa race packages already sold, and they all include GA access for both shows on the Super Stage. Play all the indoor gigs after that weekend leading into mid-November for a late fall timeframe, with the outdoo

I stopped at an Esso in Ontario on the way to the gig in Oro-Medonte in 2019 to fuel up... could not figure out for the life of me how to work the damn pump!! I musta stood out there lookin' at the thing for 5 minutes... Finally walked into the store and told the lady I felt like an idiot, I couldn't figure out how to get my gas... she said just go ahead and pump it, and when you fi

We already know the 14 venues The Stones have decided to stay committed to playing in the US and Canada, whenever the shows may happen... The NFL schedule is to be released next week on the 12th, which would show some open dates for this fall if the show happen then... The news of Billy Joel playing F1 weekend at Circuit of the Americas in Austin on 10-23 stated the other headlining concert

Great to hear Sir Mick speaking optimistically about getting the tour back on the road, but could this be a precursor to some local regulations regarding crowds in full attendance at sporting events or concerts? Keep in mind that as of today The Rolling Stones are still under contract to play Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. Time will tell what the new rules might be...

I visit both daily, even now with the passing of King Edward in October... Still disappointed I never got to take my daughters, now 18 and 19, to see The Mighty... In 2015 I got them to The Horseshoe in Columbus to see The Stones, their first concert. I saw VH in Indy and Charlotte later that summer, but thought I had at least another go-round to let my girls witness Eddie do his thing..

QuoteShawn20 I always feel very fortunate when the Van Halen / Rolling Stones stories circulate. I was at both tours the mighty Van Halen opened for our band - 78 in New Orleans and 81 in Orlando - (1st show.) Make sure you check the Van Halen News Desk, there's some great stuff on there about the Orlando shows... I'm sure you're well aware!

The Rolling Stones with Van Halen opening... could it have gotten any better? If you were rockin'in America in the early '80s, this was the Holy Grail. Thank Bill Graham for the three gigs they played together...

"You're To Blame" A fan ripped the second song from Mammoth WVH, aired on the Howard Stern show yesterday... pretty rockin' tune! For those who don't know, Wolfgang Van Halen has done ALL the instruments and vocals on the album, and said he's had his band all ready to go since 2018, but he delayed the release and tour because his Pop's health started

Hypothetical question... Would The Rolling Stones do a Canadian tour? I've seen other bands do it in smaller venues the last few years... With Canada being very reluctant to open the border with the US, rescheduling No Filter 2020 shows as they stand would not be possible, but would a Canadian leg and then a US leg later be an option? Rob Halford talks about the quick turnaround in his new book "Confess", also... These bands were like indentured servants to their label back in those days. They owed the label a new record and big money to the label for paying their bills on tour. Crazy also is the fact of seeing your heroes 3, 4 or 5 months later, still on the road, making another swing through your neck of the

Ted Templeman's book is a good read, too... In '78 they were on the road with Sabbath for the majority of their tour, which included the UK & Europe. Starting in '79, they were headlining in the US, so I'd assume their profit margin increased and they concentrated on the States mostly... Those were the days when a band would say "We'll see ya next year, Da

I believe that Luxor gig in Arnhem was on a promo tour in early '95... they returned to Europe that summer opening in stadiums for Bon Jovi. They chose to open those bigger shows opening to get exposure to more fans since they never toured extensively outside the US after about '80 w DLR. They did headline smaller European venues with Sammy in '93 though... I've had a
