What A joke. There is no comparison. The quality is worse on Sticky Fingers Live both compared to the studio versions of the songs and the live versions from 1971-73 and it is not even close.

QuoteHMS It´s absolutely on par with the Stones "in their prime" (whenever that was). There´s zero to complain about it, as a live album - although quite short - it even tops marvelous Shine A Light. No need to mention that I think it is way better than YaYa´s (most every other live-album is, imo). I just cant get over the fact that they didnt release the whole show months ago. I d

Quotedcba Quotefrankotero Anyhow, I think we're doing pretty good overall lately. Absolutely my comment was ironic not critical. And the bunch of archives releases we got recently probably owes a lot to IORR member Videojames who should be thanked profusely! Has Videojames posted anything lately about upcoming vault releases?

QuoteAle67 Quoteshawnriffhard1 QuoteAle67 Quoteartinis1 Is this the next release in the From The Vault Series? I hope not. Good tour, but we all know in the vaults there are so many greater gems... Like what, exactly? I can really only think of one thing that I KNOW is in the vaults and that is the MSG 1969 footage and the Fonda SF show. What other amazing nuggets (especially video) are out (o

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotematxil QuoteDandelionPowderman I'm very curious of what you consider those songs to be. Rock? Pop? Soul? Country? Reggae? Folk? Jazz? Ska? Swing? Rockabilly? Do you think they aren't based on the blues because they ignore the 12 bar formula? I can see your point, but even so, I think calling Tie You Up "blues" is - to say the least - misleadi

QuoteBig Al An interesting release, certainly. I particularly like Jimmy Page's sloppy soloing on Heart Of Stone and, I think, Big Jim Sullivan's lead-guitar on We're Wasting Time; at least, I suspect that's him. It's certainly not Keith and it doesn't sound like Jimmy Page to my ears. Side-two has some wonderful moments, of course: I Don't Know Why, Jiving S

Side 1 is pretty weak other than Don't Lie To Me. Side 2 is better. I especially like Jiving Sister Fanny, I'm Going Down, Memo From Turner and I Don't Know Why.

Quotefrankotero For me VL was a great tour and record. I love hearing 3 club shows finally, but would agree there's too many acoustic/country songs, for my liking too. Keeping in mind it's called "stripped" and those songs are played very well it's not rocking enough for me. But that's just my opinion and I'm sure there are plenty of fans enjoying these. So I ma

They have mentioned the Paradiso show in their reviews of the set. Personally I think the acoustic portion is too long and slows the momentum of the show.

Exactly my thoughts, about 20 minutes of the cd is comprised of Miss You and Midnight Rambler when tracks like Down In The Bottom, It's All Over Now, Monkey Man, Connection or Black Limousine could have been included.

Replace them with "Who's Driving Your Plane" and "What To Do" and this would have been a perfect supplement for the US-market. In Germany this LP was much more a compilation as most of the s

I made smoothing like this a while back. I'll have to try and find it. I believe I included the Stripped studio sessions cover of Honest I Do from the Hope Floats soundtrack on mine as well as some of the other tracks already mentioned. I think I also included the cover of Bob Dylan's Watching The River Flow from the Boogie 4 Stu Ian Stewart tribute album as well.

Here is the review from Allmusic. They gave it 3.5 stars. Released in time for the 21st anniversary of the Rolling Stones' 1995 live album Stripped, Eagle Rock's Totally Stripped package focuses on the visual element. At its simplest, it's a CD/DVD set, with the DVD containing a documentary following the Stones through studio sessions and rehearsals for their club shows in Lond
