I would love to know the reason(s) behind why this tour has not been canceled or postponed by now. At this moment and given the unfortunate timing which could not be helped it is the last major concert schedule left in the western world that has not been canceled or postponed. And there are people (Ticketmaster and such) sitting on a ton of money (i.e. paid for tickets). Is that the reason? The m

Quotejheying The tour needs to be cancelled. This virus could affect the US through the end of the year or longer. Best to try for 2021. We need a directive by tomorrow from the band so we can all move on. We have much more pressing issues to deal with. The Stones as well. I agree. Time for an announcement. Ticketmaster policy is for an immediate refund for a concert cancellation. Unfortunately

That was a year after Ziggy Stardust. Everyone was well into mascara after that. Starman had literally blown everybody away one night on the BBC in July 1972. And did it ever. Watch Top Of The Pops repeats of the era going forward. Hence the glam look MT has. Nothing wrong with that get-up. Flavour of the times. Anyway, looking forward to this reissue and I hope that there are some surprises.

Looking forward to this release and to hearing the “Young Americans” tracks live. I’ve not heard the bootlegs. It’s pretty amazing to think how in less than a 3 year period Bowie could release the Ziggy Stardust album and then after “Aladdin Sane,” “Pin Ups,” and “Diamond Dogs” go to his soul period. Although it was Bowie’s version of soul. And there was nothing wrong with that. Brilliant.

QuoteTopi These shows are slow sellers. As in “shows” do you mean Vancouver and the tour in general? Personally I don’t know how to gauge this (the shows being “slow sellers”) as in looking at Vancouver right now nearly all tickets for sale are from resellers. And there are not a whole lot of “dots’ to choose from on the seating chart. Plus it offers Pits for sale at CDN $700 plus, at only 2 ti

Pit 1 right now has only NF Pit VIP $1,037 and OP $1,426 and $1,568. Pit 2 NF Pit $1,037 and OP $1,426. Floor A3 Row 1 is $3,261. Too rich for me!

Quotespikenyc Seems like there is no Pit or GA for the Vancouver show. Looks like all reserved seats on the floor. Strange? Maybe TM has posted the wrong seat diagram? That’s what I thought initially too, but then see the disclaimer at the bottom of the seat map.

Quoteanne What's wrong with the Patricia Hotel? I've booked it because the price! I already read, that it might be noisy! Anybody knows about the Patricia Hotel? Is there a kind of WMCA around Vancouver? Here’s a link to the YWCA, a much better location for you.

I’ll repost this that I posted last night on the old tour thread. Hope that this info helps for those coming to Vancouver. For folks coming in from out of town Richmond (where YVR airport is located) is just south of Vancouver. The airport has a connecting rail line that can take you to the centre of Richmond (10 to 15 minutes) or right into downtown Vancouver (25 to 30 minutes). The trains ar

QuoteTopi Another option for Vancouver would be to stay near the airport in Richmond and take Skytrain into town. Good idea. For folks coming in from out of town Richmond is south of Vancouver. If you’ve got a turntable would defo try some of the 2016 vinyl releases which are great sounding. I can’t recommend individual songs as their albums should be heard as a whole, they weren’t really a “Greatest Hits” band. The 70’s albums from “Atom Heart Mother” through to “Animals” are very good although “The Wall” drags on a bit towards the end. I would also recommend David Gilmour’s 1978 solo

QuoteRockman …. it's a lovely country …. and I live here …. Visited 5 years ago. Loved Sydney. Red Eye Records, though expensive, I found some good Aussie artist music there that I would never have heard of. Found a really great Scotch bar deep down in the city thanks to my new bro-in-law. Went to the Hunter Valley, great wines there. Also a side trip to Tasmania, Hobart, stayed in Sandy B
